The only thing this drivers does on my system is introducing stutter in GTA IV. I am going back to 186.81 but I will test 186.82 again. So far every single 195.XXX driver I have tried has made GTA IV stutter more.

It`s a big jump from official WHQL 186 to 195 , anybody know why.

back to running properly with 186.82's.... curious, did anyone else have the downclock issue when not gaming, ie at the desktop? Or is that limited to my machine?

I'm still using 185.85... 186 seems to give me quite a bit higher temperature.
I guess the 195 be similar to 186.

I initially had that problem with the 195.55beta when after disconnecting dual screen and using GPUz .0.3.7. Haven't had any problem like that with the 195.62 though. Been testing for two days now using GPUz .0.3.4 & .0.3.8.

Top temp is slightly (1 degree) below what I was getting with 186 and Dox 185.85 driver. I can't seem to break 69 DegC playing COD MW, MW2, Crysis or Red Alert 3. Used to get 71 as a top temp with 186 and Dox's at same ambient temps.

Games I have run smoother than Dox's also - which for me is saying something. Haven't done a Fraps yet. Could be placebo. But even game intercut movies run without a hiccup.

8800M GTS is handling this drive rlike a champ.

Noticed a performance drop though on a Geforce 9200M GS on win7 (HP Dv5). Even 3Dmark06 is down by >100 on several test runs.

Maybe someone can help me here. My issue is still not resolved with these newest drivers. Basically, I can't select 'use nvidia scaling w/ fixed-aspect ratio' in the control panel. I select it and click apply but it reverts back to 'use nvidia scaling'.

I'm using Win7 64 and I heard it was an issue w/ this OS. I'm playing Star Wars KOTOR. Max res is 1024x768 so I'm playing it in a box w/ borders all around it. Would be nice to have it stretch all the way out while retaining it's aspect-ratio. :)

Try this. I had exactly the same problem with KOTOR (that I bought last week on Steam for $2.50!) and the widescreen fix fixed it for me.

Also, I think the 186.82 drivers are faster than the 195.62, so I'm trying to switch back, but now the Performance tab is missing from the NVIDIA Control Panel. I've tried reinstalling 186.82, then installing NVIDIA System Tools, in Safe Mode, all kinds of things, but the Performance tab just won't show up. Any fix for this?

Yes, I've already done that, but Performance still doesn't show up. I tried uninstalling just System Tools, then the drivers and System Tools, but neither works (Performance works in 195.62 though).

Put your desktop resolution to 1024x768, apply and then select 'use nvidia scaling w/ fixed-aspect ratio'.

    1) uninstall performance from control panel
    2) uninstall driver 195.62
    3) run driver sweeper
    4) reboot
    5) install 186.82
    6) reboot
    7) install system tools.
    8) run nvidia performance, not control panel
    9) accept the agreement and there you go.

    Thank you!

I don't know what worked, but I changed three things - no safe mode, Driver Sweeper and clicking Performance from the Programs instead of Control Panel.

EDIT: I think it's just that I clicked Performance from the start menu and not Control Panel from the desktop.

On the other hand, I've now lost brightness control through the Fn keys.
Time to send a quick feedback to Nvidia, and bounce back to 186.81 when I've got free time.

Haven't tried a game yet, but these drivers seem to be good. Downclocks perfectly, and runs cooler than any other driver ever has. (42*C while sitting on my lap browsing with no cooler)

Yeah because uninstalling a driver and installing another one takes several hours, lol.

Yeah this driver also gives me brightness problems.. Its constantly dark and i can only adjust it to a bit less dark lol. Been like this for all 19x.xx drivers..

Good job nvidia, and releasing this to the public! Keep up the good work <3

I have no issues with brightness either, with 195.62.

But, with GPU-Z 0.3.8, I can't see GPU Load, Memory Controller Load, and Video Engine Load any more (they're stuck at 0%). It worked only a few hours ago with 186.82 and 186.31.

Several hours? It took several minutes for me, just a matter of wiping any trace of the old drivers, then installing the new ones, takes about 10 minutes to get everything back the way it was... but with new drivers.

My temps seem a bit high with these drivers, and according to GPUz, my 9800mGS is often in 3D mode. Anyone else with a similar issue? Should I just downgrade to an older driver instead?

Yes here to! Only the Dox 185.20 and the original driver works for me and clocks back when i,am not gaming.

185.68 Dox, 185.85 Dox, nvida 195.62 are not working for me anymore.
I say anymore cost first there were working fine but now not anymore!

Only done a vbios upgrade and a new chipset driver, and win7 :) .

But with vista i got the same think so thats not it!?
