I downloaded Dawn of War II, then I made a windows live, but everytime I try to play the game, it says I need to update the windows live but it doesnt update the thing because it always asks that, anyone know whats wrong? cheers.

 

Try alt tabbing out and see if User Account Control or a firewall is blocking it.

Otherwise, uninstall the GFWL that it installs and just download directly from GFWL website for the latest version

 

I updated it manually, now its working fine. And torchlight is pretty much the same thing as diablo II, seriously, it looks the same... lol, still waiting for DIABLO III to come out.

What u guys think of Left4Dead2 for 5 bux and CoD, Modern Warfare2 for 15 bux?

 

You need to jump on L4D2 right away. I've only had L4D2 since October 5th, and I already have over 50 hours in it. It's a bargain at it's normal price. For $5, it's a steal.

That looks pretty good for MW2 as well. If you like that type of game, it's worth it.

 

That's not MW2, it's COD4 Modern Warfare - the first one.

They are both good deals, definitely get both of them if you have never played them before.

I am still waiting for BFBC2 to hit the sales. I know it's pretty low already, and I am gonna get it regardless, but I might as well wait until Monday.

 

Debating on whether to get the impluse indie pack, because I have all the other games except for bit trip runner which is something I really want... Anyone played it and is it worth the $4.99?

How come MW2's still so expensive? It's been out over a year already and is there still a good gaming community for MW1? I'm tempted.

 

Probably still the best COD for PC from the 4, WaW, MW, MW2 and Blops.

 

just picked up todays indie game pack... only had audiosurf so its still a good deal... after playing beat hazard for the last 2 hours i think i need to go outside and look at plain colors lol...

you could make another steam account and just buy the game pack on it... that way you can get a 2nd copy of all the games you own

 

Picked up the Indie Pulse Pack (already had Audiosurf & Beat Hazard) and CODMW1.

Now I just need a new computer to run all of these games :]

 

I'd get it soon. There are a ton of maxed level 50s already. Being low level is tough I thought in BC2. Doesn't get awesome til level 14 for the magnum round. Plus the Vietname expansion is coming, may want to get in some rounds in first before that comes out.

 

Yeah, I agree. When I said I would be getting it regardless I meant on Monday, after seeing that it didn't hit the sales. I'll wait it out for 2 more days. And yeah, the only reason I am getting it now is because I don't want to be a total newbie for Vietnam

The DLC is automatically downloaded with any of Valve's games. Doesn't cos you a dime. It's more of like a "patch" rather than a DLC.

Monday is the last day I think. I want to buy Splinter Cell Conviction today (I've been waiting for it to go on discount) but I'm disheartened Valve is only discounting it by 0%, along with many other games, except Orange Box and BIT.TRIP Beat which all have their own discounts LOL

EDIT: They fixed it. Only a 33% discount :| Is Splinter Cell worth it for $20? Anyone care to give me an opinion of the game? Would it run nicely on my laptop? (at 1280x720. Most other games, including Crysis at medium-high run flawlessly on it).

Hm. World of Goo for $2.50 and The Orange Box for $7.50... I already have TF2 and Portal, but getting Half-Life 2 and Ep. 1&2 would be nice...

But then again, what if BFBC2 goes on sale tomorrow? I wouldn't be able to get it if I got those games. Decisions...
