Too bad you can't gift the extra TF2 and Portal copies if you already got them.

What are the gift pack deals? For instance it says the just cause gift pack has 8 games. But what games? How can I see what it contains?

Gift pack contains 8 copies of that game
Would love to get into an 8 pack for just cause 2 as it works out to £5 per copy

I'm definitely going to buy World of goo and the Indie puzzle pack today :D :D
Already picked up Arkham Asylum, and stayed away from some other deals since my wallet has taken enough beatings :p :p

You will get 8 copies of the same game, so you can gift them to your friends.

Also, anyone getting their credit card declined? I just got off chat with my CC and they say mine is in good standing, hmmm...

They are all copies of the same game. One goes to you, and the rest can be gifted to other people.

I got the orange box and street fighter, now I have my eyes on that indie puzzle pack, though only cogs seens to be interesting, but for that price it seens to be a good risk to take.

I've been looking into it. Apparently, you need to stay online with an internet connection to play this game... That kind of kills it for me. The single player seems to be really easy also, with people completing it in 5 hours on normal. Don't know how multiplayer is like.

Ubisoft DRM requires a constant internet connection to the Ubisoft servers. If you lose internet for any reason, even for only a few moments, your game shuts down. If Ubisoft servers go down or are unavailable, you can't play your game. There is no "offline" mode to speak of.

Personally, I think that a game like Splinter Cell is better suited for a controller anyway. Just my opinion.

I think I'm going to go ahead and get The Orange Box. I hope I'm making the right decision...

Maybe :p It's good for that price. You can gift the extras.

Dangle them in front of NBR members and get them to do your bidding before gifting it to them

I already did do this. I couldn't get a match online going. The movement of my mouse was also slightly laggy which made it annoying when trying to get headshots in. I thought the game was alright. It definitely was different from previous Splinter Cells, and I was waiting for a discount to come in for this game in the Thanksgiving sales, but the discount is only 33%, and given the DRM, I'll pass :( Hopefully Valve leaves the best for last and gives us some amazing games at crazy discounts tomorrow so I can at least pick up something.

After some thought, I think I'm passing on TOB. I have it for 360 already, and beat it (the HL2 games) too. I'll wait to see if Valve offers one of the games I really want tomorrow.

If you like fighting games and a street fighter fan then yes. A controller is a must, but then again if you have a console, Super Street Fighter 4 is much better because you get more people and locations.

    My take so far:
    Indie puzzle pack
    Warhammer 2
    Tropico
    Kane & lynch 2 (terrible)
    Kings bounty

I would like nfs shift and some good fps games tomorrow.

Just missed a deal Walmart had SF4 for 360 or PS3 & The Standard Edition Fightstick for $30.00.

I ordered it just for the fightstick, so I have a copy of SF4 for 360 to do nothing with lol.

But I didnt like SF4 very much, but if you are into it get a joystick, not a controller.

I ran it fine. save often. if it freezes quick save then load that.

BTW, are racing games fun with the keyboard? I want to get DiRT 2 but don't have funds to get a wheel or a controller atm.

I'm thinking of getting KOTOR as well. If it doesn't run, oh well, it's only $2.50. Frustrating but it could be worse.

Not sure if I want DiRT 2 or not. I'm curious about playing it with a keyboard as well.
