Great, just when the Steam sales start...

 

Yeah I loved the sale last winter, it was the sale that got me addicted to steam after the thanksgiving sale got me interested in steam

 

Just spent 100$ buying games.

My wallet is going to be so light this holiday.

 

Got Battlefield: Bad Company 2!

Can't wait to play...downloading now.

 

finally bought bfbc2--i have been waiting for this sale for months. i bought the fear pack for fear 2 and the dlc. i am still wavering on dao ultimate since i think it may come down a bit before christmas.

 

Picked up BC2. Figured why the hell not

wow, so that was an error? I figured it was kind of cheap, though I was thinking about getting it as a gift for a friend..

 

Just got BC2 (again) I already have BF2142 and BFBC2 on EA Downloader but since I will probably be getting Vietnam on Steam at some point I have to have BFBC2 on Steam as well :/

 

Just bought Fear 2, all PoP games except forgotten sands and SUPER MEAT BOY

THAT GAME IS LEGENDARY!!!!!!!!!!
Dont usually go for platformers but this reminded me of N+, played and I am in love this game, so EPIC for 3 pounds its a bargain

 

Yea I just got super meat boy too! Only played a few levels but not bad.

 

I have 99% on Super Meat Boy first world, its quite a challenge to 100% something and its only the first world.... I fear what comes ahead.

 

I got BFBC2, thanks to a very kind NBR member! Damn thing took 4 hours to download. :/ It should have taken less than half of that time, but my download speed was totally unstable. I can't tell if it was my ISP or Steam's servers causing the problem...

 

In for a copy of BFBC2. Awesome deal. The scary thing is how many of these games I already have...

 

FEAR pack and Super Meat Boy. I told my vegan roomie the title of SMB and he just looked at me with disgust. Then I showed it to him and convinced him to buy it =)

 

SMB is awesome, my thumb still hurts from the awesomeness.

 

It's the steam servers, or at least the one hosting bfbc2 - I was d/ling just cause 2 today @ 13mb/s, but bc2 won't break 3mb/s right now.

yes its in the THQ pack for 50 bucks. it's by far one of the best packs for 50 bucks! its got crazy awesome games. I bought it last year so i bought metro 2033 separate so i got the whole pack again.

 

I got THQ pack last year for like... 26.49 or something. Best deal ever

Go look at it. It's apparently 50% off for all the single ones. The complete pack is still full price though

 

full pack is normally 100 its 50% off you must of have lucky to get the THQ pack for 75% off

incidentally, company of heroes online is free and includes the original game's single player campaign.

 

I know, I play it all the time, but it does not have the elite and the british army and some other multiplayer mode. The expansion contents are totally missing.

 

Fantastic have brought 2 packs - incredible pricing and with the AUS$ so high right now a bloody bargain!!!!!!

 

I've been playing The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom for 30 minutes and I loved it. What a charming platformer. At first I thought it was an imitation of Braid but it has lots of personality. Actually, I think I am going to enjoy it more than Braid. It's only $0.49, so check it out.

 

what u guys think of Deus ex? its got 85% off on the pack, though its kind of old game..

also intrigued on unreal package, anyone play it?

 

Got Libery City Pack for supah cheap...like...14 euros, something like that...plus i got HAWX2 althought reviews are crap, but i cant not buy it, i love ace combat like games, plus i enjoyed the demo over the ps3.
And it benches fast and crazy on my xps m1730. It was like 40 euros, price slashed to 34 iirc. Good deal.
Got Vietnam as well, a really awesome expansion for 10 bucks.

I realized that the games currently on sale may get even cheaper in a daily deal. So i have put off some of my buying...

 

They also have a game that's over a year old on Steam for $60. That's all kinds of wrong, and why I'm never buying their games again.

 

I got a Valve complete pack for 25€ yesterday.

 

ya such bull, and they love to charge full price even a year after release.

 

It's not just activision. I know this is kind OT, but the Wii has games that came out on release selling for $50 still. I can't beleive how people do that.


On the other side, that's just what makes BFBC2 better! I picked it up for $6.72. =)

and again my internet/steam's servers are slow. I've been downloading BFBC2 for almost 10 hours... still got over 3 GB left to download....

 

But Nintendo doesn't make annual releases and their games aren't digital downloads, which is the biggest issue here, imo. :/

 

I suppose. Even those games with sequels (Super mario galaxy) still sell for $50 though.


and on topic again, I hope ME:2 gets a good sale... I'd love to get that for $10.

 

Yeah, they have been keeping prices too high for too long this gen, and it's bad, but Activision keeping one of the best selling games of all time at $60 across three platforms and throwing in $15 map packs to boot is totally unacceptable. But that's business.

... And I'm a bit biased since I grew up with Nintendo and absolutely loved those "overpriced" games.

And $10 for both ME1 and ME2 would make me very happy. They're both $15 right now, however, so even if something bigger doesn't come by the end of the sale, I'm getting them. I'm REALLY looking for a Civ 5 sale, even a small one.

Also, to be safe, I have a hard $105 limit. xP And one more hour until the next set of deals!

 

Unless New Vegas or Black Ops gets at least 50% off (which I highly doubt), the only other game I'm really planning on getting is Darksiders, which I reallllly hope gets a good deal. I suppose if I could get ME2 for cheaper I'd take it as well

The Lara Croft game doesn't seem too bad, it's definitely changed over the years since the first one though.

Picked up defense grid and the polynomial out of curiosity. Picked up the witcher as well. I'd pick up lara croft if I owned any other tomb raiders on steam but I don't and the base deal isn't enough for me to pull the trigger

 

Already got all Tomb Raider games on Steam... I think I'll get Burnout and Polynomial.

 

I wonder if that deal applies if you're gifting
