Fraudy like fraudulent?

 

ive bought lots of stuff from direct 2 drive. plus ive re downloaded stuff and reinstalled stuff from direct 2 drive on different machines without a problem. direct 2 drive is pretty mainstream. at least as much as steam. not "fraudy" at all.

 

So, Batman is again at $7.50. if anyone is interested. I would consider it but I probably won't play it thanks to Bad Company 2...

 

PORTAL 2 IS FOR SALE!!!!! 10% off. lol.

 

I'm kinda disappointed that Portal 2 is $50. It better have a hell of a lot more content.

 

It's supposed to be a full-length game whereas the first one was more of a tech demo. From what it looks like, it'll take a long time to finish. The puzzles seem much more complex and involved. Plus, the cooperative mode looks pretty challenging as well.

 

it will be worth it. it looks great. if i had seen portal 1 before it hit the orange box i woulda bought it for 50 bucks. its a good game.

 

Just trying to get used to Digital download, ive heard of D2D on gamespot and stuff just steam is one nice easy bundle.

 

can any1 reccomend just cause 2
its got 75% off so is £5-$8

 

I found it to be a ton of fun. I enjoyed it more than GTA IV, although it can be frustrating at times. Definitely worth $8 IMO.

let me just say, i am soooo happy about this! im like... broke. i was really hoping lara croft: gaurdian of light wasnt on sale today, and it wasnt! im very happy. hopefully it goes on sale tomorrow or friday or something (i get paid friday morning, so ill have money for the sale if its tomorrow)

OT: never heard of this game. doesnt look like my thing though.

 

whats the general take on Front Mission?

 

horrible game compared with the old ones! the bosses are practicability unbeatable on anything higher then easy

I remember getting stuck in a stage that had a lot of air units and only had one guy with weak AA so I couldnt beat it.

Yeah, bought it yesterday. It's absolutely fantastic in 3D (even in 2D). I highly recommend this game for turn-based strategy noobs (even for veterans). So really, this game is for everyone, regardless of computer or skill.

 

I bought Civ IV Complete for US$ 7.50, quite a bargain.

after playing the demo, i reccomended GoL to anyone. if not conviced, try it yourself.

 

Is the DLC of Lara Croft & the GoL worth buying?

 

I have no clue about the character pack, but i heard the challenge packs are worth it at the discounted price if you like the game and want more.

 

Not really a deal, but if you are going to buy it anyway... til mar 14 if you pre-purchase homefront you get a free copy of metro 2033.

C&C and Red Alert 1 and 2 were pretty good, but what about those "new" games in the franchise?

 

Generals was the best c/c ever. Kane's wrath was pretty good too. Avoid the last one that came out like the plague (tiberium wars? don't remember)

 

Tiberian Twilight? I noticed it had a really low metascore.

What a charming title, isn't it? Actually, I have no idea why anyone would play a game like this, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this game on Steam. I think it's awesome that PC gaming has so much variety to offer. I don't see this coming to the Wii anytime soon.

And don't forget Farming Simulator 2011!

ED: I bet this kind of social simulators will have a huge impact on the future of education sooner or later.

Call of Juarez is pretty fun. Got it for the 360 on clearance for $15 and enjoyed it.
