Tempting but I'll pass due to Ubisoft's shoddy DRM crap.

I'm pretty sure none of the games in the pack have DRM.

I've just installed it (I already owned it, but hadn't played) and tried online. Very populated, and no lag, pretty fun too!

They don't, I just don't trust Ubisoft anymore and I don't feel they deserve any more money than they have.

EDIT: I checked into it, the AC2 still has the always-on internet DRM. Lose connection, lose your game. Glad I decided not to buy.

    It's not AC2, it's AC1 in the pack.

not on Steam, but Amazon has DA Ultimate on sale for $20. Digital download.

    Amazon.com: : Video Games

Debating whether or not to buy it. I've been waiting for it to go this cheap but I have a bunch of games to play still!

This is a mistake on Steam's part. According to Ubisoft, that always-online DRM was dropped on AC2. Now all you have to do is validate the game online each time you boot up the game, but if you lose your internet connection during play you won't get kicked. I don't actually have the game so I can't say 100% but if Ubisoft did as they said then Steam needs to correct their DRM warning on AC2's page.

Do you play in the west coast or east coast?

Oh, np and thanks. I'm in Hawaii so the best servers for me would be west coast. Hrm, still not sure about the pack, but I still have until Sunday evening to decide.

full game or the demo? 'cause for some reason I do remember reading that the demo had a few issues.

whatever. I bought it since if nothing else it ran well enough on low at 1280x720 (the demo). I'll just see how it goes at 1600x900 on well, whatever

edit: Played through chapter 1 and part of 2. It runs well enough. Cigarette smoke slows it down pretty badly though during a scene (not sure why, oh well)

._. Hm... Grabbed the total war package thingy for Napoleon cheap :3 Rome and Medieval's just a bonus. Empire already have it but they won't give extra copies for gifting ._.

That aside, I have an extra copy of Portal lying around. Anyone want it?

    Edit: Someone claimed it :3

it pretty much is, but you are going to need to buy the Kingdoms expansion, there are several good mods being made for that game, and already released for it. check this forum,

    Total War Center - Home

and look for ishan and me (mr mm) we can help you out to find the best mod for you, there are napoleon era mods, medieval focusing on the crusades, fantasy with the dawn of war world or lord of the rings, ancient asia, ancient europe (Europa Barbarorum is THE MOD to look for or download if you have the R: TW game)

PS: Napoleon is up for grab, bought one for me + the DLCs (peninsular campaign is a must buy)

PPS: if you guys dont own ETW, its best to go and ditch out 50 for the ETW and NTW + all DLC for both (its the game of the year edition: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/6301/)

the wireless controller requires the usb dongle.. if you plug in the charging cord for the controller into your computer...its going to complain theirs not enough power to charge your device

if u have a ps3 however u can use the controller in place of an xbox 360 pad

I think it's playable with keyboard/mouse but it's probably one of those games where using a gamepad will yield a better experience.

    Downloading now :p

@ HT , it's playable but can get very frustrating at times so it's better suited with a gamepad

I have a wireless dongle for an Xbox 360 controller as well as a PC wired Xbox 360 controller. I just hate controllers period. I was never very good with them even when I was a kid. But suit me up in a full HOTAS and I'm good to go! :D

hey, just for those that bought or were thinking about buying Wings of Prey, they just released an update to remove the DRM it came with... so now no reason at all not to enjoy it! Seems silly though they didn't do this before this last sale! It's an AWESOME game, totally recommend.

I read about that adapter, and I must say it's very cool. I still have an original Microsoft Sidewinder USB gamepad that I use for older PC games, such as Carmageddon 2 and Motocross Madness 2. I'd use the 360 pad for them, but I don't want to bother with 3rd party software in order to map the triggers as standard buttons.
