I've never played Black Ops before but I just did for 1 hour with this free weekend deal, and it isn't bad at all. I mean, it's no BC2, but for a free weekend, it's fun enough to kill a few hours.

It's much much better than the piece of garbage it was on release
I have barely played it because the coding/optimization was so bad

Took them long enough to fix it lol

Still good of them to have free weekend

I had the exact opposite perception. I haven't played CoD series since CoD4, and I was extremely dumbfounded to see how poor the game was. Honestly, I have no idea how games like Homefront didn't dethrone CoD. The maps are so darn small, kill streaks are super lame, and the graphics look worse than things coming out 4 years ago.

ah, I'm torn .... should I buy MW2 ? I have heard the multiplayer is better than Blackops, but I don't really know why ....

Maybe I'll just stick with counter-strike source for my FPS needs ...

Theres 50% of both Resident evil 5 and Dead Rising 2. Really considering getting Dead rising 2, seems like a cool game.

Idk, maybe Capcom puts full retail price but then they be MAD!

Just found out that RE5 for PC doesent have access to the extra DLC stuff PS3 and Xbox 360 got, meaning this is not worth it.

This isn't on Steam, but this is a D2D sale and the game is steamworks so it registers on Steam: Fallout: New Vegas for $12.50. If you want an extra 15% off to get it for around $10.50 I have a referral code below.

I don't think it works that way. You will have to activate it from your PC from whatever location you're at.

I just bought it for $10.63 too, great deal. My rule of thumb is $1/hr of entertainment. So if I can get 10 hrs and change I'm in good shape. :p

I tend to think that way too. I spent $9 at the theater for a 2 hour movie, all my games I get more entertainment per dollar. I spend. better investment IMO. Unfortunately, my girlfriend would rather spend the time and money on the movies. haha.

Because I really want this but I'm an aussie so it's blocked for us :(

basically the D2D thing makes it auto-register to steam.

    since the game is steamworks.

Not sure how it'd act with an aussie steam account though.

It's just latches to you're steam account either way. It's just like you bought it through steam.

EDIT: 2 indie variety packs are 80% off, and F.E.A.R. collection is 50% off (Fear 1 and 2 plus expansions) F.E.A.R. 3 is 10 % off.

WOW!!! Good catch! I might pick this up since it's only about $7.

How about FEAR 2? The "FEAR" package is only $10 (FEAR 1 + FEAR 2 + ALL DLC = 5 items total). Curious to know if FEAR2 has an enjoyable story or not (I thought FEAR 1 was enjoyable; as a reference).

    Thanks! :D

I haven't seen that site before. But you have to actually look at who is doing the reviews and what they say. Like I looked at TW2 and "The Escapist" gave it a bad score because the person obviously didn't know how to play hard games like these and didn't use all the resources to their disposal (which you need to, to defeat enemies). I understand that TW2 is hard and it takes a while to get used to, but the guy said that because of it, he couldn't enjoy the rest of the game lol. He probably didn't even hit "j" and read the tutorial section...

I know some people do not like g4, but I find that everyone of their reviews, for the games I have played, has been pretty spot on. They didn't give Alice and good score at all. Read the Pros and Cons.

Nothing to do with Steam, but at Gamersgate they have Bulletstorm on sale at 60% off. Too bad can't register on Steam (the game is not available on my zone) and I already spent all my "game money" for the actual month :b

P.S.: GoG just began their " staycation"... is madness!!

Reading the tutorials (which don't, I might add, prepare you entirely for what you must do to win fights in this game) don't make the UI any more intuitive, or the combat any more responsive.
