LOL this would have made my day but the hacking of MW3 fansite made my day already![]()
I wouldn't count on it. I was in one of those situations once. I forgot which game but it was i think about $39.99 and it was on a 50% sale just before the Christmas sales so I decided to wait. But the game never made it to the deals list. Was it the last Christmas deals that sucked really bad?

I didn't think the last Christmas sale was that bad, but I remember reading a lot of posts expressing disappointment compared to past sales. -

Foudn this on steam forums: Twitter
Looks like Hydrophobia: Prophecy will be the "Midweek Madness" item that will probably start tomorrow.
Here's a tweet [or is it twit?] from the devs:
-
NICE, I've been waiting for a sale on that one.

Has an interesting premise: set in future, super rich create isolated society on large cruise ship thingy; then trouble begins....
I searched and it has mixed reviews. Supposedly it's the first installment of a trilogy, so I know that might turn some people away (chance of incomplete story).
Steam forums has users crying about weird bloom effects, while others saying it's not a problem.
I got paid yesterday, so I'll take the $3 plunge. -
I bought this game.Looks interesting.
-
I tried Hydrophobia while it was on Xbox 360, before the "fix" that greatly improved the gameplay.
For me the game was awesome, so i just rebought it. xD -
I don't think my Sig laptop would handle it on high... and buying a game which visuals are the 75% of the reasons to buy it... and not being capable to see that, is a waste. My opinion...

I bought hydrophobia when it released. its a pretty good game. not super long but it doesnt get boring halfway through like so many out there. as for bugs ive only experienced two of em. one was that my g35 didnt work right on it but that was fixed i think (i didnt use them to play it just tested it). the other was a rope that you shoot off the ceiling not detaching properly making what looked like floating blue macaroni (you can see it here Steam Community :: InfectedSonic :: Screenshots)
i did have the game crash once on me but not convinced it was the games fault (Itunes i think was the prob since after an uninstall never crashed again)
Ive never had an issue with bloom or anything like that so i dunno what everyone was complaining about but that was patched also. as for performance there have been a few updates that make it run better now but i always got high fps in the game. the only time the fps would drop was when there was alot of water particles effects going on screen. I really liked it and i do think it was worth the $11 or so dollars i spent on it so its a steal a $3 -
-
I must say that game is demanding for my laptop
all max and just around 30 fps but no problem and play smoth -

How is Frontlines Fuel of War? The open world feature kind of makes me want to get it. Are there people still playing multiplayer?

Many speculating Summer Sale starts tomorrow [mainly because the 2010 Summer Sale started on a Thursday].

oh look, a volunteer moderator!

I don't mind people posting deals about games. Some can be activated on Steam anyways!
-
Who cares what platform it's on, cheap games are cheap games.
-
We could just remake the thread and call it "Daily Digital Gaming Deals".
Not that its needed yet, i dont mind other deals for cheap games. -
-
Sid Meier's Civilization® V - Buy and download on GamersGate
Civ 5 tomorrow for $17. UK site will have it for $10.50 after conversion. -
Under an hour for mid-week madness to end
Hoping for the summer sale -
hmm...they could bve slow in uploading the sale, but so far, no summer sale. THe "daily" deal has 263 hours left according to the countdown timer on it though. =)
EDIT: I do believe it's starting today. LOTS of stuff is on sale. -
It seems summer sales started... no great discounts (except valve pack xD), but it seems they are still loading it up...
-
Crap my steam just crashed. lol
EDIT: excellent sales on some complete collections. -
-
SFI summer pack and Valve Pack are interesting... Maybe I'm wrong, but most of other titles get better discounts before... I suppose they would add more titles and discounts from now on 'till end of summer sale -
Steam Summer Sale:
Peggle Extreme for 66% off for the next 11 days !!!
I heard a bunch of games are automatically 25-50% off. Additionally there are daily deals (a group of games), that have an added percent off; in addition to the automatic discount.
So, when I saw Assassins creed for 25% off I was disappointed, but if it has a daily deal for 75% off I will be happy. -
Looks like a preview of the a list of games for the Automatic Discount of the duration of teh sale.
Steam Sales, Specials, and Price Drops
Now, just waiting for the Daily Deals. -

O well. Had a huge list of games steam had for sale.
The Steam Storefront is down. Valve announced it's going down for a few minutes or so. I smell a sale coming upon us.

Best part about these summer sales - no need to worry about "running out" of copies. Think it's only happened a couple times in the past...
-
They said "down for a few minutes". It's been 30 minutes lol.
-
Summer Sale is up for me now
-
It's up but hardly stable, I get connection refused/errors every couple clicks... they are getting hammered while trying to update it live, haha.
However I did see some of the games on sale...
witcher 2 $33
portal 2 $33
borderlands $5
oblivion goty $8
and a whole bunch of collections/packs up -
-
Publisher's packs are pretty neat, but I'm not looking to spend that much.
Example: Square Enix pack: 50 games for $75 (original $600). -
Server is getting hammered, keeps giving errors, can't check anything out. Witcher 2 is $33.49 though. Might bite on that one.
-
Ok finally got thru to the "summer camp" page... it's sort of similar to their potato hunt, but different. You earn tickets by achieving stuff in the featured games (like the potato event), but this time you can redeem tickets for different select DLCs for games. They also have the wishlist random winner thing again.
The DLC's you can "earn" with the tickets are not that great, there's only a couple ones for popular games.
-
I'm just going to wait and check it out later. Keeps timing out. A few things I might get though...
