    I also highly recommend Oblivion. The GOTY edition includes all the DLC, including the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions, and a bunch of other stuff.

    Oblivion provides several hundred hours of game play.

    And then there are the approximately 30,000 (completely free to download) mods that have been created for the game, including total conversion mods.

    many people have been playing Oblivion for 5 years, thousands of hours.

    absolutely worth the $6.80, even if you're not sure whether your PC can handle mods, since you can use the Steam version on any future PC you buy.

    I don't think the price is going to drop lower than this.

    Bought the CS:S+GMod pack for $6.80. Funny thing is CS:S alone is also on sale but for $14 ha ha.

    Hoping for Killing Floors and/or Red Orchestra to go on daily deals.

    What exactly can you do with Garry's Mod? Is it sort of like Minecraft? I feel like I'd grow bored of it because I'm not creative and I'd probably run out of ideas quickly.

    if i already have orange box, is it worth it to get the valve complete back....all i would really gain is portal 2 and counter strike....

    Ouch, it was $6.80 for CS:S+GMod a few hours ago when I bought it.

    It must have been a pricing mistake and they changed it now.

    edit: also garry's mod was $1.99 a few hours ago, now its back up to $2.50. Steam probably had a price-change frenzy earlier today and lost track then, now they are changing them.

    That Borderlands GOTY 4pk is too cheap to pass up, I may have 1 or 2 extras if anyone wants to go in. Drops the price from 7.50 to 5.62, I actually bought the regular borderlands from amazon for 7bucks a few weeks ago. But considering how much I like the game, I don't mind buying it again :).

    If you don't have any of the games, then I say Yes! Valve makes awesome games: Half-Life 1 + 2 + Episode 1,2. Portal 1 + 2, Left for Dead 1 + 2, TF2, TFC, Counter Strike series, DoD series @ $50.

    HL2 series, Portal series and L4D series is a bargain at $50 total: everything else is a bonus.

    The Valve pack was priced at $25 earlier today; its price doubled in the evening. Don't buy the pack until it drops to $25 again (though I can't promise that will happen in this sale).

    I would have easily taken it for $25, $50 makes me think... I was all prepared to spend $200 I didn't have earlier for that hell-of-a-deal 256gb SSD on Newegg, and now the Steam sale starts right when I've convinced myself to save my money :p

    IF you've never played any of them... well the half-life 2 set is worth it on its own - one of the top 5 pc games OF ALL TIME (I'd even say top 2-3), possibly even one of the best games of all time.

    Absolutely incredible. HL2 is gaming, not the same rehashed crud put out every year named Call of Duty.

    It was either a temporary error pricing (but one which is honored on Steam as always, IF you bought it when that price was on), or a sort of off-record pre-sale super saving door-crasher thingy.

    Well, most likely you won't be playing through everything in the valve pack, to save money you could be on the lookout for the particular games in the valve pack that you actually want to play, in the next few week's daily deals.
