OMG, the ending of Halo 3... Master Chief will... (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

DIE!!! OMG I really want to beat up the whole Bungie studios development team. I saw the ending on You Tube (it has been released in New Zealand. Master Chief dies along with the Arbiter and his 2 other Covenant Elite allies... What the hell? I've been playing Halo since I was 10 (or 11), and now I'm almost 16... Damn, I've been a Halo fan for soooooo long and always trying to guess what the plot of the next game would be, and thats what Bungie gives us for a grand-finale of a legendary series of video games like Halo...

The first thing that comes to my mind is "die". I'd be surprised if you made this topic to tell everyone : "OMG, the ending of Halo 3... Master Chief will live!"

Why is it such a surprise that he dies?

If you watched the making of Halo 2 they said he's gonna die sometime soon. I'm sure if Bungie had their way the chief would have died in H2.

Bungie wanted to finish this chapter of Halo for a while. They want to move on. Halo Wars is gonna tell some of the story as well MS wants to move in that direction as it will allow people who like RTS to enjoy the Halo franchise.

 

Video Games are not useful at all, and the whole sub-category of the forum is dedicated to video games. Video games are pretty fun though...
Oh, and btw, replying to another member in such an offensive way is pretty disrespectful... Oh come on, just because I made a thread about the Halo 3 ending means I only care about this?, hell no! I know, they could somehow make the ending a bit better for the fans out there, but you got a point. I think that the RTS Halo game will pretty much ruin the series.... just my opinion...

ive also been playing halo since i was 9...... good game. but every game has an ending (except the damn mario).

anyway, ive heard bungie is gonna release another game that continuos halo 3 (not halo wars, in fact that takes part before halo 1). Ssooo who knows.

 

I think Halo 3 is hyped up wayyyyyy to much. The graphics are quite dissapointing considering Bungie had also the expertise at MS and had some of the best ppl in the business working there. I feel that many reviewers of this game are actually scared to give it lower than a 9/10 eventhough thats what its deserves. I think this becuase they fell that if they give it lowe than 9/10 then they will stick put as being the fussy/biased ones, eventhough its not a groundbreaking game.

game is coming out tomorrow. so it might be false. well just have to see..
i didn;t like how bungie did to halo 3. pistol with slow rate of fire and shotgun much slower than before. they underpowered the whole weapons and the fun.. especially sniper rifle

It seems that the two discs are ending in different ways.

Legendary shows that he lives and the normal (cheaper) version lacks that final part.

Tell me in what ways is Halo 3 (2007) better gameplay wise than Counterstrike (2000). (PLZ say GFX).
Tell me in what ways it is innovative?
Tell me why when FPS's are starting to lose scripted linear storylines and become more open and RPG-like (Bioshock, Stalker) that Halo 3 is linear & scripted?

I love games with linear storyline, they are just like interactive movieas... take halo, mgs, ace combat or even devil may cry for examples... the fans of this games (like me) care more about what will happen next... not only graphics and gameplay. Anyways... I don't say that CS isn't a nice game (I play CS sometimes) but you just can't ompare this two kinds of games... I don't say that Bioshock or Stalker aren't good games, but you just can't compare them... I prefer linear storylines, you may prefer storylines like Bioshock...

 

Actually thats the video after the credits on normal. After beating the game on legendary there is an additional video which shows the space ship drifting towards some planet.

 

Soo... what's innovative about it? Any difference (apart from vehicles) in gameplay when compared with Wolfenstein 3D?

 

Well, any First Person Shooter is not innovative if you consider it that way, I you don't like Halo, it's just your opinion...
