I believe what you were quoting they were talking about the 1060 version?

"There are no big changes in respect to the case and the input devices, so we recommend the reviews of the two predecessors for more information on these topics right now"

Referring to the VT and VY series.

PCSpecialist offer 3K screen for the P650RS (defiance III), the 1070 seem to have difficulties to run games @ 4K but do you think they will be enough powerfull for 3K gaming?

I'm a bit salty. I ordered the Asus GL502VS from Newegg yesterday around this time. I chose the shipping that would have the laptop at my house on Friday, so I paid extra for shipping. A few hours ago I get my confirmation that they processed the order for shipping and guess what it say's? The item will not be here until Monday. That is pretty garbage. They decided to charge me almost immediately for the item, but wait 24 hour to send it out. So I paid extra for shipping for nothing.

I contacted customer service and go nowhere. They hid behind the "we have up to a day to pull it" caveat. I even talked to a supervisor. I even caved in and told them it's clear they will not accept responsibility for the deception/laziness and asked if I can pay more to have it here by Friday. NOPE.....lol. The item still has not been picked up, it's still sitting at their warehouse but I cannot expedite shipping further.

It sucks, but I just will not deal with them anymore. $1700 item and you decide to casually ship it out even though the estimated date was Friday. Monday is the new Friday.

I'm experiencing this vBIOS restriction. With cooler boost on I'm running around 50s C on GPU now and and with +200mhz offset on core I was getting 1750-1800mhz on the core. It seems to sit around 1780 most of the time. I'll keep testing and adding more to the core until I hit instability.

This is exactly why I stay away from newegg. Go amazon prime, they will never let you down; if anything they get it to you earlier than promised.

Bro I feel your pains. I am also an impatient mofo as well. My local microcenter had the strix 1070 laptop in stock and I ordered one. I have a few days to pick it up and decide but it's reserved and mine. This way I can decide to spend the extra $150. If thermals aren't an issue and I read good things I'll be possibly swapping my gt62. So far I am really liking the GT62 though. Amazing temps. Super silent. I mean dead silent on stock fans. Seems to be overclocking nicely and Gsync works a treat and I was able to get a whole 63hz out of her lol. The laptop is also extremely cool. Even after gaming for a few hours it's remains cool to the touch in all the places it matters. Only issue I've noticed is my space bar when hit an angle can sometimes fail to resisted which can be highly annoying when typing. Maybe it's just my model? Bad unit?

That does suck. I've had no issue with Amazon. You should try them next time. I've even had them refund me the difference if the price of the laptop drops within a couple weeks of ordering it. Fairly good experience.

I'm a big Amazon customer and at my new house my ups and fedex drivers come early AM which is great. Amazon customer service is best in the game. I sold an iPad to them after my company provided me with an iPad Air 2, they denied it and sent me the wrong one back. I called them up and immediately was issued the full price of the trade in and told to keep the iPad they sent me which turned out to be a gen newer with LTE. I sold that on CL and a week later my original iPad arrived which I was also told to keep. Unreal service.

But saving taxes on these laptops can add up quickly.

My initial post, which you replied to, was about how the VS (VY) is not the same as the VM (VT). There were people here being a bid misled by ASUS's marketing photos thinking it is the same chassis, which is why I posted. The VS/VY is fatter and heavier than the VM/VT. If you thought I meant the VS is not the same as the VY, then that's not what I was talking about :)

And all of them are apparently heavier than ASUS claims if notebookcheck has a good weighing scale :)

So both P870DM-G and MSI GT80?

Also, will it be possible for 1080 mobile to fit in a 15 inch laptop and work?

Because the GPU needs to be directly connected to the display in order to sync the refresh rate. The only way to have Nvidia and Intel working on the same system with G-Sync is with a mux switch that gives direct access to either GPU.

Yeah, if you hit the timing just wrong, this happens.

Newegg used to have a priority / expedite pull charge, a few bucks extra, and I paid that a few times. I guess it was worth it, I always got my big ticket items quickly.

Now they have Newegg Premier for expedited shipping, are you a newegg Premier member?
    http://promotions.newegg.com/nepro/...gclid=CPnK_J3Wyc4CFUGSfgodAKkCdA&gclsrc=aw.ds

If you are tracking closely, after it leaves the facility you can call the carrier to see if you can expedite it through them. Also, you can pick it up at a depot before it goes out for delivery, you might be able to pick up Saturday.

But, that's a lot of time and stress to deal with, maybe find a nice treat for yourself this weekend to distract yourself...

Go to your local Asus dealer, or BestBuy, and pick up a Pascal Laptop!! ;)

Man you would vomit if you saw what passed as a laptop section at my local BB. Best thing they carried was a 940m....lol. Good call about calling the carrier. I will give it a shot. I wanted it in this weekend to get it ready for next weeks use. You know the game.

Me, as an Argentinian, will never understand how you all freak out due to 2 days extra waiting in order to get the package sent (Would be more angry about the money I payed tho) :p I would even rather go pick it up myself instead of paying to having it delivered to my home.

Anyway, good luck with the Lappy :) Tell us all how it turns out

    Hey Guys

I am going to purchase one of the new MSI laptops when they are released. The one i am interested in is

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IS33HAK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

On newegg it shows the release as 8/31... are they usually pretty accurate?

    Newegg link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...1&cm_re=PPSSDFSJZSVRJS-_-34-154-281-_-Product

I am buying from Amazon (because newegg recently lost my business at least for the time being) and am curious if i can expect Amazon to release on the same day?

    Any ideas?

Yep. They have two modes via mux. One boot mode is pure dGPU (NVIDIA), the other is iGPU/dGPU switching. The former is for low latency stuff like VR. The external outputs are also directly connected to the dGPU.

Has anyone found a P870DM3 or DM2 with a single 1080 in Europe yet? that isn't outrageously priced .
Also a few pages back someone mentioned that when ordering from Hidevolution you don't pay importation fee's to Europe, or was it VAT? is this true? sounds way to good to be true, I guess maybe California isn't tax free, so VAT is already added to the prices shown on the website, can anyone who has ordered from Hidevolution in Europe please fill us in on how it went? .

I don't think there is a customs fee. But you have to pay tax. Here in Sweden it's 25%.

Ok thanks, yeah with shipping it is totally not worth it, I think I'll just pull the trigger for P775DM3 on PCspecialist they are the cheapest I've seen in Europe for a 1080 equipped laptop, and by quite a bit .
I might wait for a NBR member review before pulling the trigger, never spent this kind of money on a laptop before, I don't want to do it blindly .

I'm in the same position as you and have no idea what justifies the incredible markup on the P870DM2/3 in Europe over the U. S. based resellers.
