Try reading buddy, the OP doesnt want or need 3DMark scores =P
Hey, is there a reason why you're not using my HD2600 scores? And the RAM on both systems are not 800Mhz but rather 667Mhz.
-
As for the RAM, I looked at the specs of the M4400 at Dell's site and it stated DDR2-800. If you are sure yours is at 667, I'm going to correct that. -
Just installed DOX 185.68 drivers, and got some slightly better marks for DMC4 DX10. Gonna do the rest of the benchmarks too and post another worksheet. For now, here's what I got for DMC4 DX10 for comparison:
185.81 Drivers
Low: 198.9625 fps
High: 101.8175 fps
Super High: 88.92 fps
185.68 DOX Drivers
Low: 202.54 fps
High: 103.6225 fps
Super High: 89.2675 fps -
-
-
Nothing significant, give or take 1C.
EDIT: Here's my benchmarks using DOX 185.68 View attachment BenchmarksDOX.zip
Observations:
Crysis: DOX 185.68 starts out performing worse than 185.81 at low resolutions and slowly gets better at higher resolutions. At 1280x720, DOX 185.68 begins to overtake 185.81
X3: X3 prefers 185.81 by an insignificant margin
World in Conflict: DOX 185.68 performed better at low/medium, and the same on high.
DMC4: Slightly prefers DOX 185.68 in the majority of scenes. -

here is my farcry2 benchmark

60fps at full HD on Ultra High? Those dual 3870s pack quite a punch!
You should run the benchmarks we're doing, I'd be interested to see the results. -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i will. i just have to get out of work.
-
So much for having the highest scores lol
-
The 280M amazing scores for a single card.
Regards Jim -
I'm going to include the driver version used in the table. Could you summarize the drivers you all use? -
You can use the DOX 185.68 drivers, as I prefer to use those.

There is no DDR2 9800M that I'm aware of, it must be GDDR3.
I have a new benchmark sheet coming later today, which is my final overclock results, and then I'm going to make a stock clocks one. Both will use DOX 185.68 drivers, and I'd like both to be represented in the chart for comparison. -

Next is X3, i dont like this too much as i think the old black sun nexus engine does a better job with effects as well as textures, but i was happy at how my card did when it came to vertex testing.

Hei Johnksss, those are really good scores! Your Crysis score is very high compared to the one of the GTX 280M OC: is that in single mode?
BTW, I need to know the amount of graphics memory of your 9800M, the kind of your system memory and the OS you used to run the tests. -
