I thought I was the only one! I loved the Wing Commander series, if they made a modern version I would definetly have to play it.

Even inspired one of my WoW characters, Kilrathi :D

I thought the original resident evil was the best horror game, and gave me the best feelings of what horror is supose to be about. Im all about horror though, my favorite subject/genere, in face I only watch horror movies, nothing else I like it so much. Metro 2033 is pritty erie in some parts, deadspace is good also.

Yep, I have to agree with Half Life (the original)... damn scary when you are crawling around in an airvent and a head crab lunges at you...

I have the opposite opinion, I really liked deadspace and how it played. Great graphics and engine too. But didnt like bioshock I couldnt even finish playing it and I tried on several occasions.

I just started to hate wandering about and scavenging ammo and stuff all the time, and it never felt scary to me at all.

Bioshock isn't really scary to me either. I love both of them so far, great story and wonderful atmosphere but not really scary. Deadspace was ; very intense. :)

Resident Evil 2 is he only game that ever gave me a true scare and I even tried Penumbra when it came out ans was slightly on edge but not in the realm of scared or even spooked.

DOOM3 was indeed spooky the first time I played it though I hated most of the SFX for most of the weapons, with wepaon SFX mods it is a better game and I did like the assault rifle flashlight mod after I beat it the first time though this detracted from the spookiness of the game as I didn't have to choose between seeing and being armed.

Minecraft. When you're digging away and hear zombies groaning but can't find them, and turn around to a hissing noise and an explosion in your face, you WILL be afraid.

    Muahahahahaha.

Sanitarium (PC) was a creepy game that stayed on my mind after playing it in my youth.

I don't find much of anything scary anymore (even horror films), but I'm sure it's just me. The scariest game I played was DOOM, maybe because there wasn't much out to compare with it.
