    No, I lost 0-5. I admit I did screw around the first few games, but last game I gave it a good try and still lost miserably. Despite playing 60+ ladder games I still suck. Reizo can micro the hell out of you. I just die a lot... hence the name RigorMortis.

    A local lan tournament. Bunch of people came though, I was surprised, there were +80 participants.

    Also my school won its first match in the Collegiate Star League for SC2. :)

    I got ravaged today in the only game I played.

    2v2

    It was ZZ v TP on a map that has the super wide front ramp and two rocks areas to break into.

    My team mate was not the best by a longshot but what the heck could we do? By the time I had a super fast 4gate up with some zealots and stalkers they have an army of roaches and zerglings.

    I just barely barely held off, then comes the mass lings to kill my econ. Shortly after was the mutas and more roaches and it was game over.

    Heck they even got ultras on the map to add insult to injury.

    The lurker was not lurking tonight, he must have fallen into temporary hibernation again.

    @ 1v1 with Easy...

    Easy is like one of the best players I have ever played with. I do not think I ever even lost a game with him on my team. I am pretty sure that would be an uneventful game :D But at least it wont crush my ladder rank and w/l ratio so I am down for it.

    If you need to raise that w/l ratio you could always go 1v1 with me. I won't last too long so we could play quite a few matches and get that ratio up very quickly. :D Of course, that would mean I would have to actually play the rest of my placement matches and place in the same league as you... yeah, that's not going to happen. :eek:

    Never mind, then, ignore me and my failure of a plan.

    I haven't had the chance to play a game since I played with the NBR people a couple weeks ago, so I'd likely get flattened by anyone here. :p

    You dont choose who to battle in ladder, thats why when Easy steam rolls me I said it wont hurt my ratio. We would be playing custom games and those are unranked.

    I never did go back to get my last achievement for campaign. The technique you need to win is so different than vs real people that it hurts your game.

    Maybe thats why I am worse at 1v1 now than i used too be because I play mainly vs AI games when I cant dedicate myself to play ladder.

    My advice is to only worry about one achievement at a time and remember you can save/load as many times as you want/need with no penalty.

    lol I do the achievement hunting by just rushing towards it and then restart it to get the other one :p For now, I'm just finishing the campaigns on brutal without worrying about other achievements :)

    I think I played against AI about as much as you :p I never bothered with ladder games... >.> Hence, you see my weird playstyle against you. A mindless playstyle :D

    You probably just have a bit more natural talent at it than I do.

    I pick up most things way faster than normal people but SC2.. not so much. I can learn micro/macro combo. I cant learn to reach/use new or more hotkeys.

    I know where a lot of my weaknesses are, I guess if I tough it out and keep playing I will get better but I dont play often enough to really get that practice I need.

    Probably it's because I play tons of RTS and MMORPGs when I was younger and avoided FPS games like a plague ._. I never liked FPS but I loved any RTS games...

    Most of my friends are FPS players and disliked RTS so I only have AIs to play against. I personally refuse to play online with random people usually unless I get to know them first ._.

    So... holy crap. I finally got my new computer and installed OS/SC2/etc...

    Long story short, I played my first 4v4 and my first game with high settings. High settings = different game!!! I was completely distracted the entire game looking at the pretty units and buildings... zealot charge animation is like whoa. I ended up playing like crap because of all the pretty distractions. I think I need to play on low settings if I were to play seriously :rolleyes:

    Yeah, I play on low on my netbook, and it does look like 2001. But bump up to medium settings it looks great. It'll wear off quickly. I play on high settings on my notebook and desktop.

    Well, I bought this thing for about $300 with Bing Cashback. But still only $400 at TigerDirect. I even wrote a review:

    It's nothing spectacular but it works decent. I wouldn't call it "playing" Starcraft 2, but it can muddle through 1v1 skirmishes and probably even 1v1 online, but haven't tried that yet. And can view replays decently too. Just don't exceed 2x playback speed. :)

    Looks like TigerDirect bumped the price up to $449 now. :(

    It's $429 at Newegg though. Still a bargain at $429 IMHO. It's hard to find a 12" notebook that has an acutal dual core pentium (not atom) and a 1366x768 screen instead of that stupid 1024x600 screen.

    My only concern is that since it is not a very popular brand that ordering a replacement battery down the road might be problematic, if I need to. I got a quote for an additinoal AC adapter for $25 and battery for $50. I'm almost tempted to just buy them, but buying an extra battery when you don't quite yet need it isn't a great idea. Granted chances are if you buy one in another year, the darn thing has probably been sitting on a shelf for six or more months anyhow.
