I may still be in the return period, and actually take advantage of it. The idea of running and flying around in a Star Wars themed universe sounds great, but without any kind of story or campaign, multiplayer is OK, but it's quickly getting long in the tooth. Feels more like CoD than BF with the limited vehicles available and 40 player maximum.

Not worth having to update my drivers, much less worth my money.

Yep, when they announced not including any sort of story/campaign, I lost most interest in this title. Game looks gorgeous and captures the feel of the world, but without anything to do why bother?

Yeah. The weapons are all pretty generic too, sound the same and don't do anything fun or exciting. Power ups make it way too arcadish. They could have made an epic campaign with this engine. But omitting space battles too is dumb. I know there's near surface flight, but not nearly the same as a vast space battle.

Why are so many games these days omitting a story? It is incredibly sad. I am too old school(29 lol) to just want mindless multiplayer!

Do gamers not have the patience to appreciate a story? I know most young people struggle to read books but come on this isn't exactly as hard as that ;)

Often I experience this moment. Excitement then disappointment. I even helped kickstart Planetary Annihilation but they didn't include a story. Got bored in hours....sad..........!

A story gives a game direction and focus. It helps a gamer feel a part of the game. No story no thanks.

have you ever thought that they couldn't do a story because they were not allowed to touch the lore with the imminent release of episode 7?!

besides, since when have dice ever made an SP story that was good?

Meh, that's a bunch of bologna. There's so many alternate universes and story lines, it'd be easy to have something pre-Episode 7 without involving the main characters much if at all.

well, no since disney is dictating what can and can't be done so no EA/DICE does not have free reign to do whatever they want in the Star Wars universe. they pretty much killed the expanded universe.

easier said than done to do something that has to fit into the timeline. this game is fun anyway.

EA I'm sure just didn't want to invest the manpower to make one...

Exactly this. EA clearly cut a lot of corners even outside of a single player campaign.
