Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Demo
Alright, now the demo is out, let's get this started.
I'm quite surprised that the old horse handles COD4 pretty "okay", resolution at 1024X640 which is widescreen, all graphic settings to low/off, so no fancy effects, just plain super low settings. However, even with super low settings, COD4 still looks amazing... really nice lighting effect, texture still looks quite sharp, and character models are still quite detailed.
move out... go go go...

ambush... find cover...

really awesome lighting effect...

you don't see any frame rate drop with the night vision effect... truly spectacular...

like previous COD games, this one is still heavily scripted...

little bit to the left...

grenade...run...

same 2D smoke effect as in COD2...

that's close one...

don't look at the grass...

plant the charger...

bombs away...

gather up...

see... really detailed character model....

too bad the demo was short...

Conclusion:
There you have it folks. Frame rate is all over the place, inside the buildings you would get around 40~50 FPS, outside with no fire/smoke/gunshots would get around 20~30 FPS, while under heave fire and tons of AIs, you probably get around 15 FPS or less. If you really want to play COD4 on Go 7400, go ahead, it's actually very playable, of course, with lowest settings.

Crysis
Demo
WARNING:
PEOPLE WITH HIGH/LOW BLOOD PRESSURE AND HAVE HISTORY OF STROKE/HEART ATTACK ARE NOT ADVISED TO SEE THE FOLLOWING SCREENSHOTS, AS THEY MAY CAUSE SUDDEN DEATH AND INTERNAL HEMMORAGING!
Crysis, the hottest game of the year and the most hardware demanding game of the year as well.
So why even bother with 7400? Well, partly for fun and sense of curiosity, but mostly for the money and fame...so, let the cat amusing fun begin...
By default, Crysis sets everything to "Medium" based on Go 7400's capacity, oh boy, was it wrong... I was getting around 4 FPS just for the beginning of the in-game cinematic, didn't bother to continue, exited and changed everything to low (no off settings, just all lows) with resolution of 800X600... which was much better, made the game actually watchable and playable...
jumped out of the plane and in for a big surprise...

hmmm... nice rocks...

missing something?

blurry and fuzzy stuff everywhere...

don't turn on your flashlight...it's already very low...

oh yeah... finally...

notice only sky and cloud textures are reflected in water...

real-time day and night cycle... bit fast...

more beach shot...

everything works just like advertised...

even more beach shot...

hmmm... greenish blurrrrrsss....

seriously... too many stuff are missing...

oh yeah... extreme driving skills...

too bad you can't flip vehicles...

Conclusion:
The cat is very amused...

To whomever:
There is only one game I am interested in.
Halo: Combat Evolved for PC. Can anyone grab some FPS-numbers for this game using the Go 7400? Preferably some of the larger multiplayer maps with all settings maxed. I'm thinking about getting a M1210 with a Core2Duo and 2GB RAM. When it comes to online multiplayer, I'm willing to make visual sacrifices to stay above 60fps, but I'd like to know what I'm in for before taking the plunge. -
Has anyone tried running Guitar Hero 3 on the 7400? The requirements are strangely high, and it doesn't really make sense.
-
I have some stuttering problems still on my Asus A8Js with an overclocked 7700. I can't imagine the 7400 handling it. You can't tolerate any stuttering at all in a game like Guitar Hero, either. GH should NOT be this taxing on a PC/GFX card. It's just another classic example of a bad console port to PC (cough cough, Halo, cough cough)

Blue, are you running it on low settings?
-
Yes you CAN flip vehicles! You have to be in maximum strength mode and then melee attack the vehicle while your fits are out. You'll give it a SUPER punch.
-
i have all settings on high, VSync on, and resolution 1280X800, and I have in large multiplayer maps between 30 and 60 fps, even with lots of players and vehicles, it never drops under 30 fps. (campaign has terrible framerates, between 20-30 fps, but when you change resolution to 1024x768 it has mid 40's)

What is your driver? I have ForceWare 169.04 and I have low detailns, and it si going to freeze in some places. I will try to run it under off detailes and I will see what happend.
I was dissapointed from CoD4 after couple minutes of playing it, but I set antialiasing to 2x

Modded driver 163.75 from laptopvideo2go.com
very stable and slight performance boost...
For COD4, I wouldn't dare to set any anti-aliasing or any other advance graphics settings...

As for the whole flipping vehicle thing, lol... if you use extra strength and punch that hummer, it's gonna explode... remember watching a demo video back then, the guy that was playing wanted to move the boat off shore, so he punched the boat and bam... it exploded...

Could someone post some screenshots of Test Drive Unlimited (TDU)? I'm wondering if it's playable with reasonable detail level...
-
i really wonder how GTA 4 will look like?
i'm planning to buy and play at low details at lowest resolution. -
Lucp4rt, please don't post in old topics if you have a question like that.
Ask in the Can My Notebook Run It? thread. -
I think it's ok since it's a "megathread" based around the performance of a specific gpu.
GTA4 is to be avoided like the plague with low end notebooks, seriously!
