Thanks for you input, and you can't be any more right, the res really makes a difference on what score you get, since it's 2AM right now i won't' attempt to change the list but tomorrow morning or afternoon i wil change it!

If anyone else has any more recomendations about anything please tell me because i would like to see this list make a sticky someday :p

Another score update, still playing with the drivers:

    3dMark06 @ 1366x768: 10,082
    3dMark06 @ 1280x720: 10,431

Here's the screen from the 1280x720 run (No, it's not really a 9800M GT):

I think the problem with this is there is no standard for screen size or overclocking. Some people are oc'ing and others aren't. Some are using high screen resolutions others are not. I think it all needs to be a standard. Like if you overclock post both your stock score and your over clock score. Also, for 3dmark 06 choose 1280x800 resolution and for vantage the minimum 1280x1024 will all other settings in the benchmarking programs untouched.

For there to be a standard, resolution is not as important to maintain as it is for CPU. Any user with quad cores or heavily OCd CPUs will have enormous scores that do not mean anything at all.

Didn't see the memory request on the first post last time. I have 3.5 GB of DDR2 667 MHz. Or 4 GB if you go by how much it physically is, but Windows recognizes 3.5 GB of it. I'm not listed yet. Also had a score of 4215 with 178.26 and 595/400 clocks from last fall, but the Dox ones are more recent and I've used those drivers more.

I know its old but could be used for comparion sake.

    Asus Z84Jp Geforce 7700 Go 512MB and a T7600

    In 3DMark 2006 1280x1024 = 3032

Not a bad score and shows vs todays card it is still very capable.

Just did my first GPU overclock 3DMark06 test:

    9233 Marks @ 1280 x 720 using 179.48 Nvidia drivers. In non OC'd configuration (GPU clocks in sig), I usually hit ~8500.

I think I'll try using those DOX drivers from laptopvideo2go.com and see how much improvement I get.

I was doing some extensive Lost Planet DX10 @ 1920 x 1080 testing, and there were benefits to be had by overclocking the memory. It seems that our 9800Ms despite 1600 MHz of 256 bit interface goodness, seem to be a bit starved

Going from 600/1500/800 to 600/1500/950 yielded a noticable increase about 2 FPS up from 13.- if I remember right, remember this was at 1920 x 1080 too ;)

But yeah, I actually had a crash at 1000 MHz memory clock, or well not really a crash, the benchmark refused to render, though you could hear it goin despite the black screen. But 950 is stable, and I did have a crash at 650 with the core clock. 600/1500/950 is my max now :D

What program did you use to OC your CPU and RAM?

It's really just because Vista runs are the standard, and XP runs inflate scores.
