You only gained 500 points from going to 1920x1080 to 1280x1024?

Yup, I'm thinking it's a CPU limitation. If I clock the CPU to around 3.2GHz, I easily score above 15000 3DMarks at 1280x1024.

Any tips from G1S or Sn owners regarding drivers and such ?

Anyone know how futuremark figures their stats for what they call a "common" system? Even by desktop standards that score seems to be a bit higher than what I would imagine "common" to be... o_O

Yeah the i7 920 + 260 definitely isn't common. I'd say that a combo of 9800 GT and an E8400 should be the common system.

great thread. I would like to know if anyone has beaten my stable score for the 8400M GT.

NOTE i do not use these clocks on a regular basis. Only during intesnive task managing or demanding games.

    OC is @ 702/780

Here it is. I broke the 4000 barrier with an 8400M GT DDR3 :)

Here are a few quick benchies from my A1.

Unfortunately, I had power saving mode on when I ran Vantage. 1.3Ghz. Doh! >.<
So... now we know how well it runs under that. :p

The 3DMark06 scores were run after Vantage with the Processor OC'd by 15% through TurboGear.

I'll try to do some slightly more serious benchmarks later with the CPU and cards at full tilt.

Just wondering, since the graphic drivers have settings which will affect quality or performance.

When running 3DMark(06), does that matter? Or 3DMark will override with its own set of value so that the driver setting does not matter?

I'm pretty sure the driver has a higher control, and would override programs running under it.

Correct. Whatever your driver setting is at, whether generic, quality to performance tweaks, or setting the clocks individually, 3dMark detects and tests at those settings.
