Oh btw how is the game, is it worth the $33 price tag? I remember like a few years ago when that was the top card...remember my Ati Radeon 7800gt was a top card at one time, pay close to $400 dollar for that, dam how time fly and technology improve so fast.

Witcher 2 is a pretty new game man, but I don't know much about DX9 card since I haven't been on DX9 sine 2005 I believe. Be using my HD5850 desktop graphic card for a while now.

Yeah when i bought my card it was the most expensive you could get on the AW site, now its a little bit old and ima have to upgrade sooner than later. But the witcher 2 is a great game, the only thing hindering me from loving the game is the bad performance.

Yeah I feel you man, man even a 460 would have help improve your performance dramatically.

I'm looking at getting an alienware M14x with the GT555M. Any idea how well this GPU plays witcher 2 at 1600x900? Would I be looking at lowest settings for a playable frame rate?

I'm sure you could pull off at least medium, I get good performance on high in 1080p.

If a GT555M can manage medium at 1080p would a GT540M manage low at the same resolution?

Sorry, reread my post I meant using my laptop in my signature I can play on high at 1080p I don't own a 555m. looking at the 540m I think it would be able to play the game at least on low if not medium if you put it down to 1280x720.
