Hey, @killkenny1, you mentioned Skellige's Most Wanted was bugged for you. How so? I just successfully completed the quest (and got a fine reward for it, too...)

Details, details, man! Do you have Steam, GOG Galaxy, updated DLC through GOG website, etc.
If you Google that quest, it's a pretty common problem. And I completed it a month ago or so, maybe they finally fixed it on other platforms as well. -

Everything updated, I've got all the latest DLC as well. I've got the GOG version, but I usually run the game by directly launching the executable.Last edited: Sep 3, 2015 -

And there you have it, looks like they finally fixed it.
I had another bug with a certain merchant in Novigrad, but recently I tried it again and it was fixed too.
P.S. GOG is running a promo on The Witcher games, except for Expansion Pass for TW3.Last edited: Sep 3, 2015Ionising_Radiation and TomJGX like this. -

My body is ready! Just hope CDPR will release a 1,09 before first expansion comes out... -

And our old friend Shani is in it too:
Dammit CDPR, why do you have to do this to me?!? I already went with Triss, now you decided to make me doubt in myself by reintroducing another redhead...
The choice was easy in TW1, but now, I'm not so sure...TomJGX and Getawayfrommelucas like this. -

Triss FTW. -
I went with both, didn't turn out too well for me.

Yeah same here >_<
I had planned to start all this DLC on NG+ anyway...but then again they're added more dialogue to Triss and Yen. Oh well. I can always play again...and again...AND AGAIN. -

Yeah I always found it interesting that the game went towards a more monogamous approach to the big relationships. Sure you can bone anyone you want but there were repercussions (obviously) if you chose > 1. -

But but, her cards were cool!
Man, those cards, I was collecting them like crazy
.
Interesting though is that in TW1 Triss was kinda like Yen (aka itch), so that's why I initially went with Shani.
In TW2 and TW3 Triss went through a complete transformation and became easier to get obsess by...
You mean in TW1? Didn't know that was possible.
because you could only bring that kid (Alvin?) to one of them
Yeah, I'm also set on a second playthrough, though not in the near future. After expansions I'm planning on finally completing TW2 and then exporting that save and tattoo to TW3. I won't get NG+ that way, but oh well... Maybe I will do that for my third time

All this time I though her personality has improved, but apparently I was tricked... Again and again... Well, at least bewbs...
So how much do they cost exactly, I kinda missed that part. -

" Why do I need to purchase the cards if the people buying the boxed edition are getting them for free?
The Hearts of Stone digital expansion suggested price is $9.99/9.99€. The boxed edition suggested price is $19.99/19.99€, so the cards are not free.
If you already have the Expansion Pass, you get both expansions to the game -- Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine, while people who buy the boxed edition of Hearts of Stone only get one expansion. Since the boxed edition of Hearts of Stone is more expensive than the digital one, the amount of money you need to pay covers the cards."
Yeah. $10.00 USD
It's also first come/first serve
I guess I'll be stalking my email when they're estimated to go on sale.Last edited: Sep 8, 2015killkenny1 likes this. -
Yes we are always getting confused between the two
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
I saw that $10 figure, but wasn't sure it was the price.
I did send the request anyway, just in case. I actually would like to have a complete Gwent set, though those cards from TW1 would be much better
Ah, classical guy dilemma...

Should I buy the expansion pass and then purchase the Gwent decks separately or just buy the box version? Anyone has idea when they can be purchased? Not sure if I should just buy the Expansion pass now because I hope it'll be on sale later but it might be too late for the Gwent decks by then.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
You buy Expansion Pass, send a proof of your purchase through a special website, wait for a day or so for a reply, and then place an order for Gwent cards (10 USD/EUR + shipping).
They are doing two decks now, but I heard that they might do more in the future, if the demand is high enough.
As for is it worth getting now, it's purely up to you.Kaze No Tamashii likes this. -

anyone has this problem when you take screenshot in cutscenes and the picture looks a bit weird? I'm not sure how to address this issue but my pictures look pixelated when I take screenshot from cutscenes. Pictures which are not from the cutscenes look normal. The cutscenes in game look fine too. Here is some example (spoiler alert):
The last picture might be the best example since I upload them on facebook so the first two might not look very clear.
you can see Yen's right cheek look a bit pixelated
the swords' grip and their hair look pixelated
the edge of Ciri's sword looks very weird. I don't think I see this in game.
-
Aliasing? Maybe Witcher 3 uses a PPAA that isn't being captured in screenshots.
But those screenshots are such low quality, it's hard to tell anything. Use PNG and upload somewhere that accepts lossless formats (e.g. not Imgur). -
Kaze No Tamashii Notebook Evangelist
I set JPG default for the screenshot so I don't have any PNG. Would google drive do? I chose some screenshots that I think are weird and I took a look at other cutscene screenshots too, many of them look pretty good so not sure what the problem is (or maybe my eyes). This only happens when I take screenshot from cutscenes, other than that, it looks fabulous.
Don't know if this is good enough tho. You can see the worst one is the screenshot with Keira.

so that means no way to fix it, I guess. -
Well, if you're good with image manipulation programs, there are postprocess antialiasing filters for them
-

oh, I didn't know there is that thing. Thanks, maybe I will try to dig into it a bit. -
Hey all, I'm on the Isle of Mist about to go looking for 3 morons. When I get off island can I go back to side quests? I want the finish side quests and scavenger hunt. I've master crafted usrine gear, do I even need to bother with the other gear?
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Yes. Though I don't remember, there might follow a few non-skipable story quests right after. But at some point you will end up in Novigrad and from there you will (able to do the side activities. -
Thanks @killkenny1, I was a little upset when I got to cabin and found those guys and then I had to go get those others. As you know it was a long time getting to that point.

I'm so pissed, I bought this game to carry me through the long northeast winter months and I finished it. It was so freaking good I just kept going and going. Finished at level 41, my play it again and make the fair haired girl with a scar the Queen next run through, and kill Rad.

NG+ is pretty good. On my first playthrough I kinda rush it. Finished in around ~70 hours. Now with NG+, I'm trying to discover every ? mark on the map.
Found a lvl ??? Grave Hag guarding treasure tho. Can't beat it after ~20 tries.
//anyway, has anyone from the US ordered the physical Gwent cards? I heard the shipping cost is pretty high so I'll probably wait to see if they're gonna make some more in the future. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
I'm thinking about starting NG+ after I finish expansions. It's nice that they let you import your TW2 save data on NG+.
I actually wonder how does NG+ work. Do you get to keep all your stuff (armour, swords, potions, Gwent cards, etc.) or do you have to start anew. I think it would be kinda boring if you already have everything and there's nothing new to pursue. One of the things that keeps me going is the new piece of equipment or searching for ingredients to upgrade a potion.
I wanted to order them too, but decided no to, because I already spent too much cash on video games. I do hope I will be able to buy them some time later though. -
Kaze No Tamashii Notebook Evangelist
Not sure about Gwent card since in my first play through, I didn't touch them at all but you do keep all your equipment except for trophies and quest items. Don't worry about equipment. I started with the Superior Wolf School set and I haven't start the Wolf school or any other school equipment quest but I did find some diagram. It's stronger than the Superior Wolf. It's called Legendary diagram. And even the Superior Wolf will kinda fall behind when you find more high lvl equipment. I'm lvl 41 and some swords actually have higher attack stat. -

Gents - calm down. The whole point of the game is to take us away from the mundane worries of the real world into Geralt's. It's meant to pass time, no matter how much one has of it. Everyone has a shortage of free time - let's make the most of it by enjoying the game and not catapulting at each other. -
Just downloaded quests I didn't do, and NG+. Also, paid for season pass, this time will wait for cold winter to set in. In the mean time any new FPS coming out that I can blow through, I've lost track.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Are you sure you want to postpone it until winter? I think it's too tempting knowing that first expansion is coming out in a couple of weeks.
Otherwise, have you played previous TW games? -
Ionising_Radiation ?v = ve*ln(m0/m1)
Well, I just ended the main story arc and...
Ciri died.
I let her trash Avallac'h's lab, let her visit Skjall's grave, tossed snowballs at her... did not let her visit the sorceresses themselves... and I don't remember if I accepted payment from Emhyr or not. That's still more positives than negatives, right? How did she die???
Oh, well, just in time for the month before A-levels, so at least now I have the game out of my mind. I haven't bought any of the expansions yet, so no more worries of distraction.
Does anyone have ideas on what I should do after my exams (which end in late November)? NG+, or restart the game afresh ( not NG+ and at a higher difficulty), or continue with my current game and get the two new expansions?
