Just remember, the thing about the betas is they eventually expire, so make sure to update to the newest betas as they come out, at least until the next stable version gets released.

Yea, I was confused about the expiration notice when I launched it. But dang, I already like version 3 over 2.3.1 a lot. Thanks a lot!

Don't worry, next beta comes out in a few days. They don't usually arrive this late but cut the author (Unwinder) some slack. After all he does live in Russia on the border of Ukraine and we all know sh*t's going down over there.

MSI Afterburner 3.0.0 Beta 18 with RTSS 6.1.0.
Latest RTSS includes the nessesary stuff for MSI Afterburner to take advantage of the NVENC chip on Kepler cards for hardware accellerated H.264 but don't sweat as Intel QuickSync can do the same thing. Also included a link to the Metro UI inspired skin im using with it. [Skin] Element Metro - Guru3D.com Forums
    Changelog:
    - Added low-level I2C access driver for AMD Bonaire, Curacao and Hawaii graphics processors. Low-level I2C access driver provides much faster access to I2C bus than ineffective native AMD ADL I2C access interface and addresses issues with GPU clock throttling when enabling voltage monitoring on AMD RADEON R9 290 series graphics cards.
    - Improved AMD ADL access layer with Overdrive 6 support to provide compatibility with future AMD GPUs.
    - Regular and SE versions of MSI Afterburner are now merged into single installer. Added voltage control mode selection option to the “Compatibility properties” section in “General” tab. Now you can toggle between reference design, standard MSI and extended MSI voltage control modes.
    - Added “boost edition” / ”GHz edition” GPU type selection option for reference design AMD RADEON 7970 and AMD RADEON 7950 based graphics cards to “AMD compatibility properties” section in “General” tab.
    - Added GPU usage averaging algorithm for Overdrive 6 capable AMD GPUs. Now displayed GPU usage is being averaged by sliding window to smooth GPU usage artifacts occurring due to bug in AMD ADL API on AMD Sea Islands GPU family.
    - Added optional unified GPU usage monitoring path via D3DKMT performance counters. Power users may enable it via configuration file as a workaround to replace native vendor’s GPU usage monitoring if it is working improperly. (e.g. broken GPU usage monitoring in AMD ADL API for AMD Sea Islands GPU family)
    - Added “Use dedicated encoder server” option to “Videocapture” tab
    - RivaTuner Statistics Server has been upgraded to version 6.0.0
    - Included MSI Gaming skins.

The game looks really epic!! I think the only downside of this game is, TitanFall is really short game, containing only a few levels that are not really long each chapter. It actually kind of reminds me with Doom Resurrection of Evil (which is an awesome FPS game i've ever played in my entire life!!), but Titanfall is more awesome because there are some cool things like controlling huge Titan robot, walking on wall, double jump, bullet shield and many more.

Does fps_max 0 work or is it hardcoded into the engine like L4D2?

At least Titanfall offers better value than the new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes on consoles. Man they want 30 to 40 dollars for maybe 4 hours of content.

If you have a 120 or higher refresh rate monitor, AND you enable vsync in game, it will lock to the refresh rate of your monitor. You can then disable vsync out of game. I do really hope they fix this, mouse input issues, and no xfire or sli issues.

Have a 290x and 144hz and I get fairly steady 110fps. Only very high textures, shadows still on high.

The smart pistol is pretty much terrible. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been killed by it. Most of my deaths come from the SMG close in.

not sure bout it but when i use a smart pistol i do wtever i can to jump around until it locks in

wts OP abt it is when its amped, it goes from 3 locks to 2 locks saving 1/3 the time taken compared to the stock smart pistol, and you do get to scan ur pistol around for threats automatically since the cloaked pilots are sometimes hard to spot when creeping behind you

But thats true with any amped gun. I mean the LMG amped wreaks everything, and slices Titans like they where made of butter. I usually roll the heavy SMG or carbine rifle myself, kills way faster than them smartpistols.

I liked the smart pistol in the beta, but I love playing too fast paced for it to work for me here. The times I have been killed by it, are either when I have to reload and bounce around trying to kill the guy or they are hidden from me and follow me around for a significant amount of time. I did like the LMG, especially for rodeoing, but I'm a big fan of the CAR SMG. I can wreck matches with that thing. I've also switched from a fast titan style to a defensive titan style and let my titan follow me instead half the time. God I love this game :)

All the amped weapons are ridiculous. The amped Archer drops a Stryder in like one shot.

Really, I haven't tried any amped anti-titan weapons. I've found most of the amped weapons to not be that much more helpful (although explosive rounds in the LMG and sniper are sick). I've started throwing them out in favor of other burn cards.

Any word on whether they will release a patch to compress the audio files for those who need the memory more?

^ I doubt that's going to happen but man that would be a nice option. What I think they should've done was have the compressed version, then upon install or launch or something ask if you would like to decompress the audio, benefits of it, and then a target for install location. This way people could easily still put the game on an SSD and audio on an HDD or something. Having 50GB stolen from my main memory hurts. Especially knowing that 30GB is audio. I'm sure my i7 can handle decompressing the audio while gaming.

My laptop won't run this properly on high, med, and even low. Didn't even bother trying insane.

    i7 3740QM @ 2.7ghz
    680m x 2

I turned tried it with sli, was terrible. People said SLI hasn't been implemented yet, so I tried it with single 680m and was just as bad.

I get between 14~20 FPS on low settings if I am jet-packing and shooting stuff...

I always had Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, but thanks for the heads up!

Just finished installing drivers and Titanfall.

It runs like a champ now :D

I do remember seeing AMD Dual Core Optimizer on my program list prior to the clean install... have no idea which game it came from...

Running everything on high (except for minor random tearings when I am running), maybe I will try Very High and Insane tomorrow.

turn off sli as lots of issues.

make sure game exe is set to use dedicated gpu in nvidia control panel (not the auto select).

reports that its capped at 60 fps but if you turn v-sync off in nvidia control pannel and set v-sync in game to double buffered it unlocks it.

mine runs great without any problems.

LOL. Funny these people they are. Talent wasted, say me... (Yoda)

Although that would be great if they ported a game like this to a Transformer type game where you could transform into a vehicle or fight as a robot. Excellent idea.

How are people getting steady fps with the 680m? I've been told to turn down textures but that hasn't helped me much. I'm always stuttering between 45 and 60.

What settings are people using? I'm running stock clocks btw.

i've been running the game on insane with a 2Gb gt675mx that produces a flat out 60fps up until recent update where it stutters from time to time, dunno if its my OC acting up or just the recent patch broke itself but now i'm running on medium settings

Frames still dropping like crazy. I get 60 FPS on low, except when there's a lot of explosions, then it tips to like 10~20 fps. Played on high before, but it became unplayable after few matches. Haha dang.

I'm really not happy with my 680m performance. It works fine on most games but always far behind what I see posted by other people with similar set-ups. Very annoying. No idea what's up.

i never bother with fps as all im worried about is if the game looks good and runs smooth and so far no problems.

i will load up fraps to see if i can get some comparisons for you.

Isn't that a self-defeating statement? Because if FPS is low then the game won't be smooth.

I interpreted his post to mean he doesn't bother worrying about what the exact framerate is as long as the game plays "smooth"... I'm of the same school of thought.

    ^ Exactly what i meant.

well my fps cant be low then. but if they are, do i give a dalm, nope, not really. game runs smooth so im happy.
6 xl files saved. lots of numbers. some high, some medium, some low, and some with cherrys on top.

only game that doesnt run smooth for me is ghosts, but i dont think a nuclear reactor would make that crap run smooth.
