So I'm probably at about 0.001 then.
-
it's impossible to not get 1.0 in this game
-
If only killing pilots count towards your stats, then it is possible. I kill tons of grunts and spectres, but only a few pilots each round. Lots of camping pilots too until their mech is ready.
-
How much do you die, though?
I'm around a 1.1 true KD but I almost exclusively play attrition and I'm fairly reckless. -
I die about 5-10 times with 2-4 pilot kills and 2-3 titan kills. Where do I see my stats anyhow?
-
They do. Your KDR stat is separated to 2 section. Pilot + NPC or pilot only.
Click your name I think, or just search for "personal record" tab -
When you're in a lobby but not in game yet, there should be a "player stats" option or something like that in the list.
-
Here it is... K/D 0.3 lol
-
At least you're getting better and not worse?
-
Every game has a learning curve
He'll get better lol -
That rifle sucks balls. I shoot a pilot 5 times from behind and doesn't kill them. Grunts it kills instantly with one or two shots. Plus I need to record some footage because frequently in the kill cam it shows me shooting almost 90 deg to the enemy when on my screen they're right in front of me.
-
Which rifle?

So far all I see is random chaos. Each game type is treated the same, like deathmatch, and ignore the actual objectives of capturing the flag or capping points. I'll have to say I'm a bit disappointed overall. The mechs still seem too fast and underpowered. Mechs should be feared not just be a bigger soldier.
-
???
You can't win Hardpoint Domination without capping points.
Did you ever play Heavy Gear? These mechs are more like that instead of Mechwarrior. I think this game would suck if pilots had zero chance against a Titan. -
point B is always chaotic and that is probably why you think the game type is like deathmatch
mechs are not underpowered, you just have to notice the fact that both have an equal chance of taking out each other during titan v. titan situation and that you have to constantly scan your surroundings to lookout for pilots who are trying to rodeo you, especially the ones on highground, just got my kdr rolling at 1.5 vs pilots only, similar to every other COD except ghosts -
Is it correct it need a 50gb installation, or just how much you need free for running?
Wondering how users of small SSD drives are coping lol -
actually it's 48.8 IIRC
-
clone windows into the HDD and install the game in the "small" 64Gb SSD, then leave the system on 24/7, or simply ditch the idea of overprovision and simply install windows with hibernation and page file disabled, then install titanfall
-
lol. Yea, I've been using Tom's Hardware and OCN more, but for some reason I always get sucked back into NBR
I only played the campaign, to be honest. The "multiplayer" was always too laggy for some reason. Didn't seem like there would be any gameplay differences between the modes, anyway, so it's not like I missed out on anything.
As for the pace, I'm just not used to having my mouse sensitivity past 3. Not knowing how to work this gaming mouse didn't help, either
Granted, it did feel like I had to pop my Vyvanse and Adderall just to play so there's that, lol.
No, but so far there aren't any games that combine wall running and mechs well

1920x1080 Windowed Fullscreen
No AA, V-Sync off & FOV 90
Texture Resolution: Insane
Texture Filtering: 16x
Rest of the settings on High
On my overclocked 680m i manage stable 60fps unless its on Lagoon, that map just kills my performance regardless of graphical settings.
As for network lag i cant say i experienced any issues, even the dreaded Origin Token error has yet to show its ugly face.

I'll have to pay with you online sometime deagleson.

I'd like to play with someone besides terrible randoms. The couple times I played BF3 with NBR folk were real fun.

Well since im supposed to watch my mothers dog for the weekend i dont have much to do. Sure we can play.
Would be nice to get some tactics going on.

HT's tactics mostly involve dying horribly and repeatedly to distract the enemy.killkenny1 and Metallica93 like this.

How much VRAM do those settings consume? I remember reading that Insane textures was intended for 3GB+ cards. Does it actually use that much or is it just an artificial limitation a la CoD: Ghosts? I looked at screenies comparing High and Insane and the difference was minimal. Insides of the Titans looked awful either way.
-
I haven´t checked VRAM usage. But I followed a tip and lowered textures from Very High to High, coupled with disabled shadows and now virtually all stutter is gone, even on Demeter and Lagoon.
And tbh it looks the same to me.octiceps likes this. -
Titanfall was never meant to be a looker though, or else it would fail to run on the Xbox One / Xbox 360 but i played the tutorial with MSI Afterburner recording stats and the game was using 3gb of video memory, so if its faking it it doing a better job than COD Ghosts.
Since i did the recording with the NVENC chip i gotta rerender the video source (converting it variable framerate to constant framerate) like you would do with Shadowplay but once its done il upload it to YouTube so you can all see it.

I think the game is too short. It needs much longer levels and chapters just like old day's console games. I remember playing GTA San Andreas and managed to finish the game for many many months, maybe i was procrastinating when playing the game.
-
It doesn't use that much. I have it turned on on my 670 with 2GB and it still looks bad and runs fine.octiceps likes this.

Huh? It's a multiplayer shooter. It's not meant to be GTA.HTWingNut likes this.

According to Raptr i got around 467 hours in GTA5 and i dont doubt that for one second, i have been playing both singleplayer and multiplayer to death with my friends on Xbox 360 but Titanfall is a whole different game. But i do agree that for full retail price Titanfall is a bad deal compared to the amount of content you get, thats why i bought it at a discount.
Got the video clip rendered out nicely but YouTube did not take kindly to the 60fps version so im uploading the 30fps version, but for the people who wants to see how Titanfall looks in 60fps i uploaded it to Mega.
Beware!, the video is quite large at 3gb but its worth it.

If you are perfectly fine with the gimped video quality of YouTube just look at the clip embedded below:

You know you can get the titanfall deluxe on mexican origin for $48 right?
-
How much is that in...pesos?
-
I think it's actually 599 pesos + tax, so yeah about that.
-
Will the game itself be in mexican or american?
-
It will be in Spanglish.DEagleson, killkenny1 and Metallica93 like this.

I thought I already posted about that...? lol
It was $40 for the standard version of "Titanfall" (it's in English) and I got more than that for my refund xD Thanks, EA!

in short you got more money back for refunding TF?
wait until EA realizes and they'll nuke your house lolMetallica93 likes this. -

for anyone that bought the digital deluxe including the season pass you managed to save a whopping £5 buying it early. wahoo. https://www.origin.com/en-gb/store/buy/titanfall/pc-download/addon/titanfall-season-pass-ANW.html

I guess that's what happens when you outsource your tech support to India? That, and they don't realize they just had to exchange Mexican pesos for American dollars on an Origin account that, for the very few things that have been purchased on it, has been in USD the entire time.
EA can do no right
-
Got lots of practice though. :3

So MSI Afterburner doesn't want to let the on screen display work for me on Titanfall (just like how it won't run on BF4 for me). Any tips or recommended alternatives? I'm sure I'm playing at sub 30 fps half the time but it doesn't affect my play to be honest. But I would like to know my frame rate so I can fine tune my settings.
-
Add +cl_showfps 1 to Titanfall's launch parameters in Origin to enable the built-in FPS counter.
Are you using RTSS 6.0.0 or later? You'll need to in order for the OSD to function in 64-bit games. -
I think RTSS is 4.5 but it was installed with MSI Afterburner. Not sure what to do here. I tried searching online but it isn't turning up anything.
Edit:
Which OSD is DEagleson using? I would love to be able to see CPU usage in games as well. -
Yeah then you definitely need to update RTSS. Hell, update to the latest MSI Afterburner beta while you're at it. The one you have is way outdated, over a year old now.Metallica93 likes this.
