I have spent a lot of time on an Intel X3100 System with an Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 with it's 2.4Ghz and 2.6Ghz turbo mode. The X3100 is way worse than the Geforce 7150M Go!. By stock I could say yeah the X3100 is better. I honestly don't care about that at all. I have managed to get he 7150M to completely kill the X3100. The X3100 runs like crap 99% of the time and it can't play modern warfare 2 at all. This is a game-play video of Modern Warfare 2 on the 7150M which by stock was un-playable at a constant 5-9fps. Now it runs great at a minimum of 15fps and usually about 20-25fps. Check it out.

Yes, but it would be nice if the OP could update this guide

Another 7150M gameplay video... I mean do you guy's think the 7150M is worse than the X3100? I would have to strongly disagree. I think the X3100 is probably one of the worst graphics chipsets I have ever dealt with ever. Seriously it provides jaw dropping wretched horrible performance. The 7150M provides typical nvidia game play smoothness and consistency even without dedicated video memory.. Your guy's thoughts? Of course the 7150M has to be overclocked and the AMD Turion 64 x2 has to be overclocked to get good performance. By stock the amd turion 64 x2 and 7150m run like pure poop. The Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 blows the Amd turion 64 x2 out of the water even with the turion running at 2.5Ghz and the intel at 2.4Ghz. However the intel graphics runs completely terrible.

i feel ur pain. I have x1200 video in my laptop. it barely plays flashgames -_-
-
lol, yeah I used to have an ati radeon x1270 laptop which ran ok as I remember just not great by any means but I didn't know about overclocking at the time.
I think the 7150m runs pretty good. You tell me. Tell me what ya think of the videos I posted above... -
the fact that you can play anything on integrated is great...my gpu laggs on CSS LOL

If your temps are fine overclock the cpu if u can. Counter strike source uses that source engine which is highly cpu dependent. I'd also overclock the gpu. I don't see any problem overclocking laptop cpu's or gpu's if your temps are dialed in. Then you'll see huge gains in fps. By stock the 7150M can't play a single game. I had to overclock the Turion 64 x2 from 2Ghz to 2.5Ghz and that took my ddr2-667 ram to ddr2-800 which gave all that extra memory bandwidth to the gpu which helped so much. Then I overclocked the 7150M's 425Mhz core to 555Mhz. Then I get damn good gaming performance. I'm thinking of getting an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68 which runs at 2.4Ghz by stock then I could overclock it to to 2.9Ghz. That would make huge gains for fps in games.
The Turion 64 x2 Tl-68 2.4Ghz processor is only $69 shipped on pricewatch.com so I'd totally pick that up. Get some ddr2-1066 ram or ddr2-800 ram for your laptop, the tl-68 and some copper shims to put on the cpu and gpu while you have your laptop apart and then be able to game it up like none other on Counter-strike source 25fps average....

lol im out to buy a new comp but the laptop im metioning is in my sig. b4 buying a laptop was an option i looked around for a way to oc them both but I couldnt find anything for either -
Anything amd is overclockable. Use AMD Overdrive to overclock the cpu. Then get EVGA Precision to overclock the gpu. Firstly get AIDA64 to monitor your cpu and gpu temps. That cpu your running is that ultra low voltage extremely slow version of the standard Amd turion 64 x2. If you get TL-68 it'll blow your mind on how much faster your laptop will be. Seriously, you just need a new cpu and a 2gb stick of ddr2-800 and you laptop will transform into a hard running machine. The TL-68 will provide 50%+ better gaming performance. Firstly because the Athlon 64 x2 TK - 53 has Terrible memory bandwidth. The TL-68's memory controller is way faster than the TK-53's. The cpu's memory controller is what the X1200 uses for video memory. If I was you, I'd spend $80 and turn your laptop into a beast... It's not hard taking them apart and if You wanted I can walk you through the whole process to installing the new cpu.
If you lived close , I'd do it for you. Hell I got a Turion 64 x2 1.8Ghz cpu I'd give you for free. Otherwise If you wanted to get that TL-68 and if u lived close to me (I live in missouri). I'd install it for you and get you running real good in games. The Turion 64 x2's are better than the athlon 64 x2's for mobile cpu's.

haha well i got 1.5k from my university for a laptop so im going to be getting a new one. my mom will probably use the other one. If i was to stick to this laptop longer I would have done it but my mom is going to use the laptop for watching youtube vids so no point. and i live in Chicago, so a little while away
however, if i feel like upgrading it later for some reason ill keep that in mind
