I also heard puzzles weren't that hard. Still, like you've said, it's a 20USD/EUR game, so it might be worth checking out.
After all, I did buy Firewatch for almost full price, and I ended up enjoying it very much, despite it being quite short (about six hours for me). Will definitely replay it once the update comes out:

I would hold off on NMS unless you're REALLY into space exploration games. It's just not there yet.

I'm back Pillars of Eternity. Going to finish it this time.

Trying to get through Thief (the latest not the original). Never did finish the original or Thief 2. Might have to one day after this. Next up will be GTA V. I am enjoying this lull before the holidays. Looking forward to the next South Park game!

Starcraft 2..still. After playing through Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm a couple times each, I have finally moved on to Legacy of the Void again. Oh and just bought Redout. If you liked Wipeout for the playstation back in the day, you'll like Redout. Almost done Abzu as well.

The sniper and bullet time mix didn't agree with me so I skipped MP2. I should just pretend the sniper doesn't exist and play it though.

Yeah I ordered the DM2 through Hide. Hopefully I'll get it late next week or earlier (I doubt). Which sucks because I've got all that week off which I could be tinkering. Are you getting one?

What is wrong with this site, honestly?

I just, ahem, "downloaded" Rise of the Tomb Raider. Two observations:
    1. Lara is hotter than Yennefer, and that's saying something because both of them are have British accents, and are brunettes. But Yennefer has a more... seductive voice.
    2. The game kills my GPU less than TW3 does. Why did CDPR not use PureHair on all the ladies? It looks so damn good and performs equally well...

But Triss wins out against both f them :p :D
Biggest turn off in Lara for me was her daddy issues, constant moaning, and "I gotta do this." I miss Lara's personality from Legend. She was smart, witty, fun, brave, etc., ergo complete opposite of reboot Lara.

Agree on PureHair though. Wish CDPR would include it in GOTY update...
    PureHair >>> HairWorks.

Started up Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It's too damn hard. Battery level drops too quickly. Inventory system is cumbersome. NPC's are sometimes dumb as rocks but other times can spot you in hiding from across the room... ugh.

Two things. Which is really just one thing but there are two aspects to the complaints.

The one thing being that it's just a texture upgrade, and not a particularly good one compared to what fans have done with games like Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.

The other being that 2K put zero effort into fixing bugs and annoyances that have been in Bioshock for the past 10 years.

In other words, 2K are advertising it as a "HD Remaster" which it isn't.
