This is supposed to be a horror game, but knowing that the "killer" is controlled by another human being for some reason makes the game feel like it is hilariously fun! -

Attempting to finish Shadow Warrior 2013. After perfect Doom 2016 it's a bit hard coming back to SW2013. Levels seem boring, as well as fights and enemy types, and really miss the double jump (which luckily is in SW2).
I think Doom 2016 pulled The Witcher 3 for me. After TW3 it's hard to play other open world'ish RPGs (DAI, Skyrim), and now after Doom 2016 it's hard to play other FPS games.TomJGX likes this. -
Playing BF1, World of Warships and Titanfall 2.. All great games IMO!

Really? I feel the opposite. I got bored of Doom pretty quickly. Just shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot, chainsaw for more ammo, shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot, lather, rinse repeat. Plus the level designs are frequently annoying at times. Shadow Warrior 2 has been fun for me so far.

Idk, haven't played Shadow Warrior 2 yet. Looking forward to buy it a bit later.
Obviously to each their own, but I found the levels in Doom 2016 to have a good variation of environment types. You have a typical base level, then you have a snowy level, one on cliffs, hell, etc - you can tell a difference between them. In SW2013 most levels just feel too copy paste without enough noticeable variation. You run though village, it has copy pasted houses. Run though port - a maze of copy pasted containers with a small arena for fighting in the middle, which is another downside I see in SW2013 - arenas, most of them are bad. In Doom 2016 arenas feel dynamic, partly thanks to double jump ability, and generally feel well planned out. And even though that enemy variation in Doom 2016 is also pretty weak, just like in SW2013, arenas in Doom 2016 make fight interesting.
Oh and "shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot" is the best part. It's a shooter after all, it's the whole point

Yeah. But this conversation made me go back and continue my Doom campaign. Figure I might as well finish it. I do like the no need to reload ability, although now it's starting to get tighter on ammo where earlier you never had to worry too much. As long as I can get a chainsaw again I'll be OK I guess.

Interesting, because it gets easier later on
-
I don't think I'm paying attention much to the upgrades though, or at least using them wisely, and I usually find powerups AFTER the battles end because it's so chaotic I don't run around looking for such things.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Yup, strategising (is this even a word lol) a bit does really help in this game - what upgrades to get, when pick up power up/ammo/health kits, when to use chainsaw, etc., but luckily running around like an idiot is still a valid option. By far my favorite one
.
-
My best option too.
I just don't know the maps. You enter an area and bam are jumped. But I do like using the pistol (or whatever it is) to pick off the weak units from a distance though if I see them far enough away.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Always be vigilant, especially when you see power pos nearby lol.
Usually arenas have a tell, so it's easy to spot them.
That's not how you suppose to play Doom! You take a shotgun and run forward shooting at everything while screaming at your computer screen.
Anyway, finally finished TW3. That Gwent tournament in Blood And Wine sure was a pickle. But I managed to prevail - won on hard difficulty, got my trophy, 1000 crowns, and 12 XP points. Now time to show of the trophy to my waifu!
"Triss, honey, I'm coming home, baby, and this time not empty handed!"
So since I "officially" finished the game (well, there's still a matter of 12 Gwent cards to collect, but flak them), I'm thinking about doing an NG+ some time in the future. -

Dragon Age Origins. Story seems interesting but that camera and movement control, worst than Witcher 1's. And Morrigan though.

after burning myself out on bf1 ive switched to mainly dark souls 3 and planet coaster, both a lot of fun.
-
Whats wrong with BF1? Its an awesome game!!!

I'm still trying to finish Doom. Then I'm back to Shadow Warrior 2. Then Dishonored 2.
-
just finished rise of the tomb raider and the witcher 3
its been 2 years since thief came out and I still always find time to play it..... every now and then I will install thief the dark project
-
I loved Tomb Raider. I need to finish Witcher 3 too. I need to quit my job and leave my kids so I can play games more.
-
I am eager to know how Shadow Warrior 2 is. I really enjoyed the first one.

Every 12-18 months I get an urge to play Resident Evil 4 - usually just the first 2-3 chapters, then I get bored or frustrated and move on to something else. I've always rolled with the Gamecube version playing on a Wii, but this time I'm going with the HD remaster on PC. It looks really good but has a bug that causes a black screen on exit, necessitating a hard shut down and reboot to get everything back. It's an issue with the game because it seems to affect people with NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This happens when running in full-screen mode but not in windowed. There's a program called Borderless Gaming that removes the borders, and it works perfectly with RE4.

Doom 2016 MP is pretty fun!

Rainbow 6 Seige and The Division. Played Doom and Rise of Tomb Raider

I give up on Doom completely. I still can't pass that boss even on easiest difficulty. Actually I did kill him, but then nothing happened. Nothing triggered. I was stuck there, and went back to play it again and died needlessly at least a dozen times again, only to kill him again and nothing happened. Sorry, but I was reluctant at first and got bored quickly with the game, thinking it would get more interesting, but I can't even advance now because it's broken. So frustrating. grrr.

what's with your obsession with japan anyway? how deep is it?
anyway, been playing watch dogs 2 on PC...maxed it out and happy with it at 30fps. currently clocked 26 hours,. -

I could give you my save file. Would have to play as separate levels then, but if you're interested I think I could do that. -
You may need to use the BFG!

Started playing Jagged Alliance 2 with mods again lately.
I'd recommend it to anyone that's a fan of classic turn based combat like the 1993 X-COM. -

Speaking of Doom, I myself am quite deep into Ultimate DOOM/DOOM II/Final DOOM. Too bad Brutal DOOM mod doesn't want to work. Will have to wait for v20c... -
What do you mean? I am Japanese.
Maybe I will. I was looking for a trainer or a cheat, but they don't seem to exist. But I've uninstalled for now, out of frustration... will chill a bit.Last edited: Dec 27, 2016 -

Yup, Denuvo makes it hard to create such programs for video games.
But if you need some saves, just give me a holla. -

Dying Light
great gameplay, enough story to take a few days and in addition endless side missions. Also, new DLC added more content to *shrug* that's what I've been playing. -

They have? Good news! I guess no point in it now, since it was out for some time. -
Yeah. Denuvo's license for Denuvo Anti-Tamper provides their customers with a full refund if Anti-Tamper is cracked within some period of time of a product's release. My understanding is that the term is usually 3 months but that's almost certainly open to negotiation (Denuvo in DOOM took ~4 months to crack). One of the conditions for receiving the refund is that the Denuvo customer must completely remove Denuvo Anti-Tamper from the product.killkenny1 likes this.

Anyone playing the new Friday the 13th game? What are your thoughts? Been playing around with it. I see where they were going with the in game voice system but it's something to be desired.

finished watch dogs 2. i've had enough of the side missions and the constant crashing.
EDIT: also finished Gears of War 4...that was so anti-climactic.Last edited: Dec 28, 2016 -

Yes, For the build up for the Game, man it was a disappointment. Still fun to play though. What did you think of watch dogs... when it worked -

Apparently someone killed that main dude's niece...
Now I'm having an existential dilemma - do I buy Wolfenstein Old Blood now or wait for another sale.
What game are you playing now?
