Finished "The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II" over the weekend. Dayam! that's a huge game. But then, that's descriptive of all of the LoH games.

Started "Tales of Berseria" yesterday. Dayam! it's dark for a Tales series game. Forget things like friendship and love and saving the world, common themes in most Tales games to date. Velvet, Berseria's MC, is driven by hatred and her goal is cold-blooded murder.

Sniper Elite 4. I like these kinds of games. Stealth, can go at your own pace. Nothing too annoyingly difficult (yet). AI is dumb as a box of rocks, but that's fine with me. It's almost like a hunting simulator but your prey are humans.

The game world and score kept me in it until the end, but now I occasionally think about loading it up, then don't because I remember all the side stuff.

Alpha Protocol is $3.74 this week. I had more than enough cash in my Steam wallet to cover the cost, so I figured it was worth a shot. Will be installing it later, as I want to do a clean OS reinstall fairly soon.

Huh. Steam keeps recommending it because I've picked up a few visual novel type games recently. Maybe I will put it on my wish list.

    But not right now.

Right now it's Kerbal Space Program. Career mode has that Civilization style "one more turn" thing with the contracts combined with a very Lego-like construction system catering to a "let's see if this works" kind of play. And when they collide? Like where I am right now early on with some "collect crew reports above 17K meters" contracts and I don't have high altitude flight yet? I'm planning to make a hybrid turbojet/rocket plane.

GTA 5. Never got around to it before and am enjoying the storyline.

Also another playthrough of Dying Light as I got two friends to join me for their first time in Harran.

An enterprising group of modders has put out a fix for Deus Ex: Invisible War to make it more compatible/playable on modern PCs. It brings widescreen support and higher-resolution textures for many of the models. It also prevents the "crash" to desktop that occurs when loading levels. Unfortunately, the patch doesn't do anything to improve load times, which are interminably long, even on a SSD, but the game is at least playable now on current hardware and Windows operating systems.

Once I've re-done my backups and Windows install, I'm going to play it, along with the latest Mankind Divided DLC that was released.

Visible Upgrade for Deus Ex: Invisible War

Gameplay is an objective improvement over Human Revolution. Combat is a much more viable option in this game than it was in HR. I personally don't like the hacking minigame as much, but I know I'm in the minority on that point. The story is not as strong, a problem that's not helped by the overabundance of sidequests - literally 8 of the first 10 hours I played was just doing side missions. It lightens up a bit later but not by much.

Breach mode looks stupid, so I haven't played it. I thought System Rift, the first story DLC, was awesome, not for the plot but for the fact that it's mostly one big infiltration mission - which is what the game does best.

Overall, I still prefer Human Revolution, as evidenced by the roughly 400 hours I've invested across Windows, Mac, and PS3. It's probably my second-favorite game of all time - I like it so much that I want to get the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions, even though I don't own either of those consoles.

That being said, I'm not disappointed that I pre-ordered and paid full price for Mankind Divided plus the season pass. If you're having mixed thoughts about getting it, pick it up on sale. The Xbox One and PS4 versions are $18 and $20 on Amazon right now, so I have to believe the PC version will get a similar discount on Steam at some point in the very near future. At that price, it's a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.

Really enjoying Sniper Elite 4. Love these kind of open world stealth-like games. Not real hard, but as challenging as you want to make it. Wish I had better sniper rifle choices though.

Battlefield 1 - Downloaded the 10 hour trial last weekend, decided to purchase it as part of EA publisher sale
Titanfall 2 - purchased together with BF1, actually prefer it more in terms of gameplay than BF1. Need more players!

EA publisher sale still running until 12th March, time to get Titanfall 2 for those who are waiting. If you want BF1 as well there's a deluxe combo for both games which cost just £39.99 (Normal price £119.99)

I played the beta on Xbox One and I was pretty impressed with it. The PC I just bought from Origin has a GTX 1080 and there is a free download of Ghost Recon Wildlands with the GPU. Waiting for it to arrive. I can't wait to get into the full game.

I beat DXMD: A Criminal Past without using augs and without killing anyone, and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done in life. It's right up there with Ninja Gaiden in terms of frustration factor.

I'm not even sure what I want to do next.
