Inb4 Dark Souls lot comes in and starts telling you that you don't know anything about game difficulty.

It is very hard but I would rather play it than Ninja Gaiden. -

IMO, the difference is that Deus Ex is tough, but fair, enhanced by the flexibility to tackle your objectives in a number of ways. Ninja Gaiden and the Souls games are unfair and inflexible. I don't find spending upwards of 40 minutes chipping away at the health of a boss to progress past a fairly early area of a game to be appealing, but different strokes.HTWingNut and killkenny1 like this. -
While I haven't gotten far into Dark Souls, all of the bosses I've faced can be defeated with just a few well-placed hits. None have required chipping away at massive health pools. None of the encounters have lasted anywhere near 40 minutes.

Sorry, but let's just call this for what it is... shenanigans.
Demon's souls boss difficulty is lower than most of the Soulsborne series.
No comment on Deus Ex comparison... haven't played it. I hear good things, just no time.
Back on topic... Nioh.
Very Very good. (PS4 exclusive though)
8.5/10 IMHO. Will be a 9 if they keep their promise and release a decent PvP patch.Last edited: Mar 18, 2017 -
Just beat Shadow of Mordor and its DLC, except for the Lord of the Hunt, which I've only just started. It was a fine game, if a bit repetitive. I may have enjoyed The Bright Lord DLC better than the base game in some ways--I really enjoyed how it ramped up the take-control-of-orcs mechanic. Looking forward to Shadow of War.
Anyone looking forward to Yooka-Laylee coming out in a couple of weeks? I was a huge Banjo-Kazooie fan as a kid, and I'm excited about Yooka-Laylee's potential as a spiritual successor. -
dead rising 4. maxed out it runs really well on my 1070.

Picked up the new Mass Effect. So far I'm not seeing what all the complaining is about, and I'm having a lot of fun with the MP.

I am playing Ghost Recon Wildlands and Rimworld at the moment. I have a pretty wide spectrum of games that interest me. I'm new to PC gaming and have committed myself to learning to use the mouse and keyboard. Even though I have an Xbox One controller sitting right next to me.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is pretty amazing so far. I haven't gotten too far into it, but the first couple of hours have been really fun. The GTX 1080 is handling the game really well on Very High Settings. I was able to maintain 60-80 FPS on the in-game Benchmark while on the Very High Settings preset. I have a 1440p IPS 120hz GSYNC display and the game looks amazing.

I transitioned to kb/m but not 100%. FPS games yes, but 3rd person I still find a controller to feel better for playing. -

Only feudal Japan game I can think of for this year is Nioh, but that doesn't sound right either.

Testing this classic "ricer simulator" on my Linx 7 just for lulz:
Running at 800 x 600 with maximum graphics settings, about 20-30 fps. I was very surprised it ran so well on such a wimpy toy, was thinking of selling it, not so much now
Just need a good Bluetooth keyboard so I can game while plugged to power outlet, sucks that it only has a single micro USB port.TomJGX and TrainWrekt like this. -

I think you've mixed up a bit, cause it's Underground 2. I do have MW and Carbon ISO images in the tablet though.
But yeah that's a classic racing game (and my childhood memory too), had to make my car as ugly as possible just to get 10 stars rating lolTomJGX and LanceAvion like this. -
giving sniper elite 4 a try and at 1080p ultra settings it runs really smooth.

Is it normal that I am looking to play this game only for it's medieval Italy setting?

about as normal as wanting to shoot the furher, and other nazi soldiers, in the balls!
so i say it's ok LOL -

Zero Escape: The Nonary Games for the PS Vita/PSTV. It's a collection that consists of Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999) and its sequel Virtue's Last Reward on a single cart. I bought it primarily because it's from the studio that did Danganronpa, though 999 was originally a DS game that came out first. There's a PC port, but it's $45 whereas the Vita version was $32 including 20% Amazon Prime discount.
I'm most of the way through 999. The puzzles are very well done, though you'll be repeating them if you want to see all 6 of the available endings. The characters and story are nowhere near as interesting to me as they are in Danganronpa. The English voice acting is passable, but there is way too much dialogue - thankfully there's a fast forward option that you can utilize on subsequent play-throughs to skip over parts you've already seen.LanceAvion likes this. -

It's all about ME:A and Battlefield 1 !

Still playing Wildlands. Got Lego City Undercover as well. Had high hopes but it is such a horrible port, will try once again when it gets patched.

Thinking about grabbing Lego City Undercover. I heard there PC port has some issue, but hopefully devs will fix them. -
Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition. Loved the original. This one gets rid of the Games for Windows crap and adds some silly Duke add ons.
-
just picked up NieR: Automata from steam and I have to say its a super fun game, only a few hours in and its already got me hooked.
