I recall it being great in 1440p except that for whatever reason in the initial release when I played it, it looked like not all the textures were the same res, so I think I might look through what graphics mods are available for it, if any, or try and find if they've patched it.

Playerunknown's Battleground. Inconsistent and heck. Kinda getting annoyed. Level 2 helmet and vest and 100% health and get one shot killed with a shotty from other side of house, probably 12-15ft away...

I love it. The last monthly patch helped a lot with lag. It just keeps getting better.

The latest patch is great, the feeling of the game has improved and feels more fluid and performance has improved to a great extent.

It still feels unbalanced. I just got off a round with level 3 helmet and armor and face mask and emptied a clip into someone but they were fine. They got one shotgun shot off on me from 12-15 feet away and I died instantly.

Just finished Portal 2. I'm disappointed that there's been no announcement about a Portal 3, but given that the Half-Life 3 trailer shows that Chell will be included in its story, I'm stoked.

While I wait, I'm gonna play Yooka-Laylee next and get in touch with my inner collectathon-platformer self.

After getting some random hitches during gameplay of Ghost Recon: Wildlands I think I discovered why: GR:W just doesn't like Nvidia's adaptive v-sync. I turned it off and it's smooth.

This is still a prelim finding so will keep testing.

EDIT: I think it might be my GPU overclock so I'm gonna reign in the clocks from 170/400 to 130/300. I ran 3DMark again and the tests yielded a 150 point decrease in Firestrike. Though, you're still beating the desktop 1070 at stock clocks. It's quite possible the TDP mod I applied helped with the bump in the final score but I'd have to reflash the stock vBIOS and test with stock and overclock to be sure. (maybe during the next holiday period)

He might have had the choke upgrade on the shotgun. I was suprised I was able to waste a guy at a medium distance driving off in a car using this setup.

The latest patch has made performance a lot better. I think they could work in the jankiness of picking up items and interacting with doors.
They seem to be working fast bringing meaningful updates though. It's no DayZ.

Got Telltales The Walking Dead A New Frontier, and Batman for the Steam summer sale. I'm also checking out Civilization 6 demo, seems interesting.

It seems to be consistently leading the Steam top sellers even though a Steam sale is currently happening and it's not on discount. So I'd say it's pretty popular. Granted $29.99 isn't a bad non-discount price.

I haven't bought anything yet. I have some random stuff in my cart (Virginia, Drakensang, Space Seige, Quantum Break, Victor Vran). But I think I might bow out of getting anything this time. My backlog is SOOOOOO LOOONG I think I'm going to continue working on that and maybe buy some stuff during the Winter holiday sale. I keep buying things during sales and I think I have so many games at this point I might not finish them in my lifetime.

Problem is that I have had the choke numerous times too and two close range shots with definite hits to the head and they were still alive. And other times when I had barely any armor, I took a couple hits and still alive. It just seems too much like rolling the dice.

I must be on an indie run. I just finished Everyone's Gone to the Rapture. I will give this game 2 thumbs up. Beautiful game. I've learned a couple of things about indie games, no need to look for ammo, cover or food and FPS means nothing.

Bailed on Wildlands halfway though. Man, it got so boring!
Now moved on to replaying Rise Of The Tomb Raider. My gawd, dat ass... Almost make up for crappy story and characters, and Lara's daddy issues...
Only wish it had better DLCs. Even at -50% they are not worth it...

It only works with version 1. No patches nothing. To that point it won't work with Steam version since it's auto updated. I still have the DVD I originally purchased. Matter of fact if you google guru3d crysis New modification by cryzenx you will find the crysis forum on guru3d.com. If you read through you will find great info on crysis.

Yeah, I loved RotTR. Also wish there was quality DLC. Another massive campaign. It's a shame if that game engine goes without at least one major campaign DLC.

After a friend wouldn't stop raving about it, picked up Nier Automata over the weekend, about to start it. I don't know much about the previous game besides there's a dude with belts on his face so not sure what I'm getting into.

I thoroughly enjoyed Nier Automata, it was one of those amazing experiences, it might be a master piece the game moved me on so many different levels, it was one of those games that I was thinking about the storylines and talking about it with friends even when I wasn't playing the game.

So in Homefront: The Revolution I make it to the section of the world called Lombard that was gassed in some back story in which it requires me to wear a gas mask. But, as soon as I get in the first resistance fighter I bump into isn't wearing a gas mask.

I like the combat and music is very good. Hack and slash type but there's also bullet hell sometimes. Story is okay I guess. Have only finished 1 ending so don't know how it'll play out later.

also in case you haven't known. The game has some issue with full screen mode and windowed mode always has the cursor in the center of the screen for me every time I press 1 button on my controller and this mod fixes it. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SpecialK_Mods/discussions/3/1334600128973500691/
