Yes it plays extremely well

Destiny 2 beta runs extremely well for me. the PC version is gorgeous! Its a shame I'll probably play PS4 mostly haha.

I am playing Counter Strike:Source (yeah I know, I know...) WoW, and recently, Fallout 4.
I am pretty much hooked on FO4. I like the whole post apoplectic theme and the puzzles are kinda cool too. -
picked up absolver and the single player aspect was friggen awesome unfortunately for Aussies the lag was unplayable in pvp, but today they released Australian servers and the game is fantastic, im really enjoying it, the pvp is intense and fun, im kinda thinking of it as a dark souls/for honour/tekken hybrid focused heavily on pvp.....if your looking for a fun pvp focused fighting game this might just be for you, at $30 its great value.....

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock... just bought it. Going to play for a bit. Looks fun.

My EVOC, seems GPU died, was running at stock clocks so I have to RMA that back to HIDevolution. Got the ole screechy+garbled sound suddently then lockup. Never recovered. Has happened once or twice before in my long computing life, was a failed component both times.
So then I'm like, ok.. time to resurrect the 2014 Blade I haven't used in like 5 months.. Battery expanded actually damaging the chassis. Wow. Lucky it didn't catch fire. Had to literally pry the back off with a claw hammer since I couldn't get a few of the T5 screws out due to pressure on the back panel. Removed my HD and took the battery to a recycling center. Guess I'll sell the rest for working junk.
So.... installed Hand of Fate on my 2013 rMBP. Actually plays well and is SO FUN. Wow. Love this game!hmscott likes this. -
Really sorry, how long it run? I mean, how many daily gaming hours it last and what about gpu's temp?
Bios 150W or 200W one?
Overclocked gpu? Overvolt, undervolt? Really stock?
Sorry to ask but I'm gaming 2/3hrs per day and I wold to know what expect about F5 life (3 years warranty here) -
I bought it back in April, it was running at stock clocks. No Prema BIOS, whatever BIOS they were shipping with back in April (this was before they had Prema available). Not many gaming hours yet as it's only been close to 5 months since I've had it. They were pretty good about support when I opened a ticket so I am guessing they will fix it correctly and reapply the proper TIM setup. Well when I say not many gaming hours, I do play a bit. The temps were always in acceptable ranges AFAIK. I monitored them a few times when I bought it but stopped worrying about it after that.
I'm not knocking them or the laptop, stuff happens. I really liked the unit, and would still not hesitate to recommend it or HiDevolution ( @Donald@HIDevolution and everyone else has been super). I'll be shipping it back to them sometime this week and I expect it will be dealt with expertly as everyone has nothing but high praise for those guys. Again I have to state I really like the laptop. It's only 6.5lb, nice 4K panel (or others if 120Hz is your thing), gsync, great components. Things fail, that's life. Happens. Nothing is ever perfect. Just hopefully it doesn't happen again or it might start calling it a trend.
I really just don't want to hear any more squawking about how Razer laptops die after 6 months and custom DTRs are bulletproof. The Razer Blade I had for 3 years with 1000s of hours of gaming with no issues, so it's a pale comparison to how long the Blade stood up.
My experience says otherwise. Regardless of the battery in the blade going south, i've seen quite a number of batteries in my day expand, or even catch fire (not my own.. but others people's). I should have known it was going to happen to the Blade and removed it sooner. It was dying at about 30% charge when I stopped using it, my own fault for not removing it at that point, it was only a matter of time.

I'm going old school and playing TIE Fighter. A helluva lot of fun, and it runs silently on the iGPU. A shame that series ended in the '90s.

Skyrim SE with 255 mods active plus visual mods like HD Textures and ENB. Game runs smooth 60FPS all the time.

With those specs I wouldn't expect less haha. I'd be surprised if you managed to mod all of that without getting a single error/crash.Huniken likes this.

Just beat Alpha Protocol. My first time playing it, too. What a gem of a game that's also a product of its time.

Nothing will make you crash unless it is an error of mods not installed properly. I used LOOT and Nexus mod organiser to manage mods and avoid errors and conflicts. TESEditV is also very good to verify load order plugins aren't missing and to clean dirty records from the plugins (where applicable).

So SKSE 64 alpha is that stable, or are you using mods which don't require script extender?Huniken likes this. -
Not using SKSE64 Alpha, the game runs very good but now that SKSE64 is coming out soon in full release, this game will be a haven for me away from real life stress, it is already good enough with current mods installed but since coming from oldrim (old skyrim) which had SKSE with HDT and tons of mods Skyrim SE really needs them back, the good thing with Skyrim SE is no crash to desktop or stutter due to memory restrictions.

I'm just two Steam achievements short of 100% on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, so I'm working to clear that from my plate. Once that's done, I will have "platinumed" all three games in the series that are available, the timing of which will probably coincide with the release of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, the demo of which I just finished. Apparently if you have save data from the demo, it will unlock something in the full version. Despite following the same overall formula as the first two games, V3 appears to have iterated on the concept in creative ways. One wonders where they could possibly go from here, or if this might in fact be the end of the road. In any case, I'm glad the game is getting a PC release simultaneously alongside the PS4 and Vita.

Wow, I'm impressed, 255 mods and not a single script extender mod.
Back then I tried SSE I soon bailed on it because I realized that I rely on script extender mods, and without then I can't really play Skyrim anymore...Last edited: Sep 13, 2017Huniken likes this. -
The good excuse I can give you is the some mods from oldrim worked with SE so that helped, I played the 2011 version when it came out without mods, it was unconditional love for this game since then

I don't think I ever played a Bugthesda game (and that one great Obsidian game) without modding it.
I remember back then I just bought Skyrim LE I played 20 minutes of it, then went straight to the Nexus to download some mods

I think a good third of the mods I used required a script extender, but then again I'm not the type to just tweak a game to make it better, more the type to put in kung fu and rocket launchers. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Ditto. Though I was more of a tweaker than a rocket launcher guy. -

Hadn't been paying attention re: scrip extenders for LE either, if that's going to happen I might have to reinstall it. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
LE (Legendary Edition) already has it, because it's an old Skyrim (with addons). Skyrim Special Edition, on the other hand, just received the SKSE 64 alpha a day or two ago. -

Got my versions messed up. I hadn't put them back on my computer since my last format/reinstall...SE is what I meant. Looked really cool with the few non-extended mods I put on it during the brief time I played. -

So I bought pubg today and no kidding its not optimized for ****. All very low with my cpu OC to 4.4ghz and I still get drops below 60fps. Some 5gb patch just came out which promises optimization I believe. Going to give it a try.
HTWingNut likes this. -
Yeah, it still needs a LOT of polish. I don't know how they plan on releasing this before end of year, it's in such crap shape. I quit playing it because of (a) optimization sucks (b) large majority of the playerbase are trolls (c) hacks and cheats.
The AFK farmers are particularly annoying. Basically it's people that buy lots of copies of the game, start the game, stay AFK to farm points to allow them to get crates in game and turn around and sell them all for real money. Some of the loot sells for hundreds of real dollars. Who is buying this real stuff I don't know, but it's a big issue. So half the people in a game go AFK and die outside the zone so you go from 99 players to 50 players in a heartbeat. -
Apparently idle players get no points after the last 5gb update. At least that's what the release notes said. I haven't tried it yet.HTWingNut likes this.

So I've banned myself from buying new games since Jan 1 of this year until I finish every game in my Steam catalogue. Unfortunately I am one of those game e-hoarders, and hoping to change my ways. In a somewhat tragically ironic sense, this is penance.
Currently, I'm working my way through Shadow Warrior (new one) which I got for free. But I typically play 2 games at once.
Which game of these would be the best to play alongside Shadow Warrior? I'm leaning Fallout Tactics since it's not an FPS, but I've beaten Fallout 2 exactly 13 times, and am so burnt out on the UI that even something like FoT seems overly familiar.
F.E.A.R (I've played it before, but never beaten it)
Fallout Tactics (Same as above)
Endless Space
Bioshock 2
The Talos Principle
Magika
Mirror's Edge
Sniper Elite
Tales from the Borderlands -
Battlefield 4, Cities Skylines, Killing Floor 2 and Playerunknown Battlegrounds for me.
-
Good start I guess, but now all they have to do is use a macro to get them to run in a circle, move or jump randomly, or something stupid like that.
Even though the loot isn't supposed to give you an advantage in game, it's this very reason for "pay to play" stuff ruins games. Anything remotely successful will be farmed for real money. But I'll leave it at that. -
I can't agree more. If they got rid of it the problem would be gone.
