Right now you pretty much need long range or flight to deal with him (Widow, Ana, Pharah), or hit him while he's fighting someone else. -

Is Resident Evil 7 (and its DLC) worth buying? The only one I've really played is 4, though I've watched let's plays of the first three entries.
-
different style to 4 really. The Evil Within is closer to RE4.

I'm finding that most games will run at 1440p on a notebook 1070 so I ordered a 1440p screen.
Currently playing The Evil Within 2 in 1440p using Nvidia DSR. -

Finished Wolfenstein II. Great game with some minor flaws.
Now it's back to GTA IV and Divinity Original Sin II. -
So far The Evil Within 2 is quite a decent experience. No DLC or microtransactions to speak of....Good!
The only "lootboxes" are the in world crates you have to break open.

Just finished playing Shadow of War and I basically say the same thing as the first.
A fun game, with a terrible and lazy ending.
I actually started up The Division yesterday with a friend and like the end game content they added. Its too bad that content wasnt there for release. Otherwise I am still playing Siege as that is my go to multiplayer game, as there really isnt any immersive RPG games out there that interest me.
If this keeps up, I may need to look into programming and game development. My desire for a story that pulls me in to the point I cant stop participating isnt growing, its more like withdrawal at this point. This may be because I only have a PC now as opposed to my teen years where I had a console. I dont know what the landscape is like for Story rich RPG's on console besides maybe Xenoblade Chronicles. JRPGs were really good for this in the 90's and 2000s from what I understand but when I look them up on Steam its a bunch of Hentai visual novel / games. I must have the wrong search parameters or something.
I dont know the popularity of Anime or Korean Drama here but some really good examples of good scenarios are like Usagi Drop, a 30 something bachelor taking in a child no one wanted and learning on the fly how and what it means to be a parent. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid in how through one person, Dragons can learn to live and love in the human world with great comedy to keep it light.
Korean Drama's like Good Doctor are great since it goes through almost a series of powerful messages to the viewer because the main character is trying to be achieve a dream of becoming a surgeon despite having been born with Autism. "Two Weeks" was also good since it didnt just try to focus on the typical Korean check boxes and tropes. The main character goes through a lot of development to overcome the conspiracy laid against him to save his daughter in need of his bone marrow/ plasma.
I know this isnt a rant thread, so if this needs to be deleted then its no hard feelings. I just really miss having a game hit me with a powerful message or two without shooting itself in the foot so many times that what ever message was written is lost in its display.
Am I just getting old or something? Im only 27 but my tastes are seemingly pushing me out of one of my favorite mediums, gaming.LanceAvion likes this. -

"Activision has announced that a free trial of Destiny 2 will debut (November 28th, 2017) for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (through Blizzard’s Battle.net client), giving new players the chance to dive in and play the title for free."
"The free trial specifically will allow players to sample portions of the game’s campaign, explore its many different worlds, and compete with others online in the Crucible. Obviously, progression in the free trial will be gated through some instance (whether it’s up to a certain point in the game or a time limit), but players that try out the free trial will have their progress carry over into the full game if they decide to buy it on the same platform they demo it on. Destiny 2 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. "

Metal Gear Solid V on PS4 - Thanks to PS+
Finally playing Grim Dawn, had bought a long time ago..
Castlevania Symphony of the Night - PS Vita -
I think I am on the last mission of battlefront 2 and even then it's still less time than The Evil Within 2 which I think I've clocked about 10 hours already.

I'm trying out Prey after getting it during November Steam sale. After a few hours of playing, I have to say this game reminds me a lot of System Shock 2.

Sid Meier's Pirates! Live The Life...is a good old game, decent story-line, has a lot of features such as land exploration, capturing enemy ships, finding treasure troves, climb up the ladder by killing the most notorious pirates (up to ten boss pirates), and romance. Gameplay is kinda fun but repetitive, can't expect much on the graphics because it was a 2004 game.
Warhammer: Man O’ War: Corsair...It's a brand new game, was released in April 2017.
The Good:
- Open world (limited to sea and ports)
- Good graphics (quite demanding for old systems)
The Bad:
- No story-line
- It lacks a lot of features, one for not being able to capture an enemy ship (is not acceptable for a Naval/Pirate game)
- Battles are very clunky
- No land exploration
- $30 price for the game, and another $13 for the three DLCs.
There are minor bugs in-game since release and up until now that was not fixed by the developers.
It's kind of disappointing for a Warhammer game.Last edited: Dec 2, 2017LanceAvion likes this. -

I gots a question Gents. I'm considering Sniper elite 4 but cant figure out if it's a complete game, I've watched a few reviews but none of them said much about DLC. I refuse to purchase any game which has DLC which needs to be purchased to actually make said game a complete game. So for instance are most or all the weapons you want that should already be in a complete game in the DLC instead?

If you wait for a sale, you can get the deluxe edition for a good price, and includes season pass. I've enjoyed just the base game though.killkenny1, krabman and hmscott like this.

I'm only a few missions in but I think this is the game that I wish Muv-Luv Unlimited and Alternative were. So much missed potential in these two. -
This will probably be of interest only to a small subset of forum goers but... I just started into Ultimate Fishing Simulator and my initial impression is positive although it's way early to make any kind of call.

Shinrai - Broken Beyond Despair. Only up to Chapter 2 so far, but not a bad little visual novel considering it's the product of a two-person development team. The writing is a bit stilted, but if you're a fan of Danganronpa, you'll probably like this as well.
