Age of Mythology Extended Edition.
I'm all about good old games for now.

Yeah, I picked up Total War/Warhammer 2 which inspired me to install Rome Total War and I've found myself playing Rome and Warhammer 2 has since been languishing in the land of steam games I'll get to later.
-
I'm back into Overwatch for now, and just started playing comp matches to see how I do. I'll probably jump into Project Cars 2 once my wheel and pedal set arrives.
-
Assassin's Creed: Origins and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
AC really good and also very demanding CPU game. -
Just started Xenoblade 2 myself. Missed X because I wasn't going to buy a Wii U for literally one game.ekkolp likes this.

This is my first Xenoblade game.

I installed Oblivion (had originally played it to completion on the 360..) and modded it for graphics and UI. Played that for like 30+ hours. It kept crashing all the time. Yes I applied all the fixes and patches, only modded it for graphics and UI so I didn't have any super crazy mods. Uninstalled that. I still have Skyrim installed, I may jump back on that for a few...
I see X Rebirth got another patch, I may install that and play it for some hours and delete it as per usual.

Same! Played Vanilla for about 50 hours, wanted to mod just the bug fixes, unofficial Skyrim patch, and went down the rabbit hole! Got all the graphical mods I could find, the game looks photorealistic really. Now, I’m at 350+ hours as we speak.
What a game! What a bloody good game!
Other that that, CSGO takes ALL of my *multiplayer* time.

Now not CODWW2 cos it decided to run the GPU temps into the mid 80s...no thanks. uninstall. bye bye!
-
Diablo 3. I've never played it and it was only $20.
-
Still on Destiny 2 (PC) for most part since I have no real need to rush content. I may be finally playing my Diablo 3 copy after years of not touching it. Its very hard to find roguelike/lite games that I enjoy after Bloodborne.
-
Oblivion can get really cranky. It's a lot like Fallout 3 in this regard (nearly the same engine, no wonder). It's worth applying the 4GB enabler and installing the CTD/Memory patch from the Nexus.
-
I did that
-
Other things to try:
Move the Oblivion install out of Program Files.
Wipe clean, reinstall, and install mods manually instead of with a mod manager.
Double-check that you correctly installed the Script Extender.
Install the unofficial patches.
Triple-check that you correctly installed the Script Extender.
Use Tes4Edit to resolve any conflicts.
Use BOSS to get your load order right.
Throw out the existing config file and restart the game to generate a new one.
Disable any overclocking.
Don't use quicksaves or autosaves. Always manually save and never overwrite save files.
Try New Vegas Anti-Crash. It's been made compatible with Oblivion.
And if none of these work then get yourself a Windows 7 or XP box and try that. -
I'm thinking replaying Oblivion isn't worth the trouble at this point. 33 hrs was enough.

Who wants to be a millionaire... Keep winning 100000 can't seem to break that level

Finally Hellboy arrives for Injustice 2 PC.

I don't think I've even completed D2 campaign, just mostly doing multiplayer because that's all my friends play. -
Whenever someone says D2 I always think Diablo...
-
If you got that much time in then you probably have corrupt save files.
The root cause is in how Bethsoft games handle saves. Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are virtual machines running game code, and the save mechanism is simply a dump of the VM's RAM. The difference is that New Vegas and Skyrim freezes the VM before dumping. These are the brief hitches you experience when they autosave. Oblivion and FO3 don't freeze which means game code is running during autosave and quicksave dumps which can cause what gets written to disk to be inconsistent with the VM's RAM. This corruption is irreversible. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.

It makes me cringe in the same way when someone says TF2 when referring to Titanfall 2.HTWingNut likes this. -
I don't think that was it. I can load the same save file after the crash and play for one to three hours until it crashes again.. Repeat. I've installed or tried just about every fix or patch I can find. Maybe it's my notebook I'll see if other games are suddenly crashing all the time. I haven't had much time to play anything the last week or two..
I've seen the save file corruption at work in New Vegas on both PC and 360. I had to help a friend delete his most recent save on his 360 so he could continue his game. Sucks... -
Huh. I thought New Vegas fixed that problem. Must have been a mod or something I was using.
A thing about Bethsoft save file corruption is that you can't predict when it will cause the game to crash. Once a save file is damaged it cannot be repaired. And any new saves made after loading it will be as bad or worse. The only fix is to start a new playthrough. -
Yeah. What really makes me confused is when people refer to BF2... Battlefield 2? Battlefront 2 (2005)? Battlefront 2 (2017)?Atma likes this.

playing Elite Dangerous again, still haven't bought the Season Pass but for farming some bounty to get warm again with the controls it's good enough, bought a Hotas too for that game but sadly it doesn't work on my desktop rig, on my NB it works fine
-
Finished the campaign on all characters and DLC campaign on 2 of 3. Each are at 326+ and pretty much almost done with level cap chasing and the rest is exotic/masterwork farm. My reported game time is less than 180 hours while the rest of my clan already hit 400 Hrs...

I won a code for Overwatch last night. Never played or cared for the game but the DM looks fun. I'll be playing it today.
-
finally picked up Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the switch, so have been playing that fairly heavily, also still enjoying nioh complete edition.

Currently playing PUGB and the odd occasion of Killing Floor 2

It can be a lot of fun if you let it. There are modes for everyone, if you're just wanting to have fun stick to Arcade mode.Atma likes this. -
I've been laughing at streamers on Twitch raging at the game Getting Over It so I bought it today and am playing it. I can understand their frustration now.
It's only $8 and I'm having fun. You just can't let it get to you. I think it would be easier if I could invert my mouse but that setting isn't in the game and I can't find a way to do it. -
Getting my laptop from MS rma.. Playing the waiting game.
Do people still play battlefield 1 -
Gonna have to suck up to these two for now until I get a proper GPU.
Warhammer: Dark Omen
Warhammer: Mark Of Chaos -
We're getting some quality of life changes to Xenoblade 2 this Friday.

if its the map update it cant come a moment to soon, other than the map markers etc im having a tonne of fun with the game, really starting to enjoy the combat and of course the story is quite good.

The Long Dark 1.21 update is kind of unforgiving. It was easy before on 1.02.

Dusting off Eternal Darkness. Won't be the same on the Wii, but the GC has been dead for a long time now.

The field of view is narrower than you'd expect...but interestingly it doesn't really make much of a difference, once you're in you find yourself just instinctively moving your whole head instead of just your eyes so you almost never notice. there's no "size" to the picture since it's all around you in most cases, even when viewing 2D or fixed 3D content you're usually in an environment you can look around at. The headset resolution is less than 4K, so I haven't really bothered with that kind of content on it. (also, you won't really notice the resolution in most cases, unless everything is stationary and you really look at it).
I think it's fantastic, even being the first generation the experience is totally worth it to me. I plan to continue gaming in VR for the foreseeable future.JRE84 likes this. -
