I just found out that I got Shadows: Awakening free for buying Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms on a Steam sale ~4yrs ago, so I just started it to tide me over until the Steam sale next week.

Holdfast. Played a little, and it is everything that Youtube videos told me. People role-playing, charging enemy position to Russian hardbass, etc.
    My game score - 1812/10

In addition to Holdfast and HITMAN 2 (and obviously P3Dv4), also playing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.
So far it's amazing, and I think it might potentially be the best in the series. Obviously too soon to say that, as I didn't progress too far at the moment. But I like the improvements they did so far - new stealth and gameplay mechanics, enemy AI, ability to tune difficulty settings (finally can disable those annoying climb markers) and bigger emphasis on exploration this time around.
On the downside, there is still no control over crouch ability and flashlight, which annoys me. I also had some minor audio hickups and some animations can be weird at times. But these are just minor details really.

No, this is not the new camouflage mechanic. Lara just shat herself after the encounter with two tigers (or at least I think those were tigers).

Are you enjoying this one @killkenny1 ? I'm looking for something to play over the winter. I suppose I could do a fresh start in Fallout 4 and run a different story but done that a few times already and was hoping FO76 would be good but it isn't!

Anyone tried X4? I was watching some streamers play it and it looks a lot better and more fun than the mixed reviews on the steam store.

EDIT: Steam reviews now have hit Mostly Positive at 73% .. looks like the initial wave of people complaining after playing for 30 minutes has dissipated.

    Light Bearers

It's a neat little asymmetrical game where multiple hapless light bears have to avoid menacing shadows lest they are transformed into an evil bear that aids the dark side. An escape portal appears after a time that all the light bears need to make it to.

I jumped back into No Man's Sky for a bit yesterday. Also grabbed Subnautica for free on the new Epic Games Store. I think it's free as long as you check out and download by 27th. I'll be checking that out at some point soon.

I have to admit, No Man's Sky is a LOT better now. It's still kind of grindy having to farm and refine elements to keep yourself alive (hazard suit, life support, launch fuel) but it's much more cohesive now with a decent variation of things to see and do.

Finished Shadow Of The Tomb Raider today, including newly released tomb *sniff sniff*
Good thing there are still 6 or so tombs to come. Otherwise 100%-ed the game, so there's nothing much else to do in it. Once all tombs are released gonna probably replay it again. And despite all the criticism this game gets, I think it is the best one in "Survival" series.

Luckily Insurgency Sandstorm was just released, so it's back to the co-op, baby!
Dat gunplay, dem sounds, dat gameplay... Mmmmm...

Honestly, it's stupidly difficult. But so fun. I'm like you, I don't like hard games, since I game to relax. I also tend to rage quit pretty easily. But I'm having so much fun with this game. It's frustrating, but rewarding and really easy to have fun, even if you suck like me.

I think you'll have fun with it. I recommend watching a few tutorial videos on YouTube. Once you get the concept down, the game is really fun.

Just beaten up Joseph Seed on Far Cry 5 - and what a suprise that was afterwards. Not a bad game really and quite violent. He deserves everything he gets just for wearing those stupid sunglasses alone!

Not sure what to play next but might carry playing this until I've cleaned out all those cultist fools!

I'm playing my first run through Book of Demons. A really refreshing take on ARPGs, liking it quite a bit. I just got to hell and definitely the game ticks the difficulty up a tad there, it had been relatively easy up to that point.

Funny you mention that right after my post above yours. One of the creators of that game is an ex-Mormon and the cult/religion in the game is heavily based on the Mormon religion.

Ah I see, and it makes sense to use someone with first hand knowledge I suppose. Quite scary for me to think these things do go on in real life.

Far Cry New Dawn seems to be going to carry the main story on from FC5, available 15th Feb 2019 - so I guess that's on the list as Fallout 76 turned out to be such a lemon.

Thinking about doing the same. 100%-ed and completed two available bonus tombs in SOTTR, so for now gonna give it a rest until new downloadable tomb comes out. Meanwhile thinking about reinstalling ROTTR, since I also grabbed season pass for it during this sale.

    Already grabbed mine copy!
