    Program Files/Ubisoft/Demo/Hawx
Or something like that. Wherever it was installed there is hawx.exe and hawx_dx10.exe

Although if you're running it through Games Explorer you should be able to right click and select DX9 or DX10... at least that's how it is with other games.

Just reinstall it through Win7 and that should get rid of any problems.

Played the demo, really does try to be all Ace Combat-ey. Thought it was alright but it really needs to be played with something better than a keyboard and mouse.

lol, he talked about how "dumbed down" it is. Good for him, actually. It's not very often you see reviews talk about the decline of video games in the sense of there is no thinking involved.

Actually I agree with the IGN review more than any other I have read. They make valid points that really illustrate the games shortfalls.

I tried this on Xbox, it seems ok but kinda simple. Also, the camera angle with assistance off is horrific. Not only does it impair your gameplay, but it's pulled back too far and thus negates the graphical effects. They probably should have added takeoffs/landing, assuming the missions are relatively similar.

I'd like to see an interview with the devs considering the assistance off camera view is the biggest gripe overall, and see what their thought process was on it. I can't believe that major feature decision was overlooked, or at least brought up by the beta testers, even though it isn't really a beta test problem, it's an inherent design flaw.

To be honest, I hope it sells well so that maybe they will patch it to fix this, and/or improve on a sequel. There's few of these games in existence on the PC.

Well given Ubisoft's recent record, I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm not sure which studio created this, but I agree patching it would be very welcome.

takeoff and landings are just perfect.

no reason to play game without them, there is no point to start the mission from the air and i think that's the fun part of it.

Hopefully, they will introduce a few more features to the PC version that were left out in the console version for the sake of simplicity. On the consoles the game is nearly perfect IMO, it's on the PC where it's too simplistic.

couldn't agree more. it feels too easy when everything is done for you.

Hopefully there will be patches, it was pretty fun, didn't like having so many missiles, but then again this game is not trying to be that realistic.
