I do miss the game, I like how it felt like it had a life of its own. No other MMO quite gave me that feeling.

It was the areas/landscape that really sucked me in, not the gear/raids/etc.

I just liked to randomly explore all the overworld areas.

Yes, the virtual world of WoW is really well done, with all the critters and other map elements that makes it feel alive, and not feel dead and copy-pasted like almost every other MMORPG I've played.

All the false and misleading information in this thread is disheartening. It will take time to debunk all of these stupid stereotypes and mispleaced ignorant comments.

I will elaborate further, if anyone wishes, but anyone reading this thread so far, needs to take a step back and realise that most things said so far has to be taken with a grain of salt.

What one needs to glean from this thread is that WoW is your game to play the way you want. Want to raid? then raid. Want to be casual? then do it. Only you can make this decision.

The time you put into this game can be enormous or minimal. The hardest part for some is the willpower to step away from the game and enjoy the real world instead of a virtual one.

Do I play WoW? heck ya. With 2 lvl 85's and more on the way up. Sometimes I spend too much time in game, but I don't have a problem hitting esc and then quit if theres things to do or places to go.

I think WoW is a great game, I held back for years, I played Everquest 2 and thought WoW was not as well put together. Well Blizzard has put a lot more time into their product compared to Sony, it's a shame, Everquest , and Everquest 2 where the main MMO's out there back in the day and don't get me wrong, I still would love to play Everquest 2 (if anyone I knew still played), but Sony does a horrible job promoting it. You could not even find Everquest on a Best Buy shelf up to a year ago, no ad’s or anything. I would also add, WoW is much easier on system resources than the poorly coded Everquest, you can run WoW on almost anything. I have also played Guld Wars, Aion, D&D online, and LOROL, WoW has the best of many of these. Like Bognostraglum has said, you can be serious, or casual, and enjoy the gaming experience all the same. I just thought I would share my perspective as a long time hold out. :)
