On PS3 the Resistance series. Worst mistake I have made so far for my PS3 purchases, which are few.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. It was like 85% off or something, but it had to be one of the most boring games I had ever played, even with the COMPLETE graphics mod. I made it to, maybe, 15% of it.

In hindsight I wouldn't play it even if it were free...

Blasphemy! Advance Wars is awesome. :D ... My worst purchase would have to be HAWX2. The first game was a lot of fun but this one? That was a complete piece of garbage. Shame on you Ubisoft for ruining such a promising franchise.

    FEAR 2
Linear, unimaginative "sequel" to the original, which had some of the most engaging gameplay for a FPS in years and awesome slow-mo.

    COD 5 World at War
    COD Black Ops
Typical Activision mainstream FPS garbage. Greed got to them after the great game that was COD 4.
Shouldn't even be mentioned in this thread ... what are you guys thinking?

Clunky. (In love with the second though. Don't ask me how I got into buying it after such a bad experience with the first).

I wasted my money on KOTOR II. It felt very much like an unfinished product just like DA2. Luckily I did not buy DA2. Professional reviews on DA2 were very biased. However if you played DAO: Awakening you might have felt cost-cutting driven simplification was the direction where Bioware was going.
I have a strong feeling that a lot of the design decisions were driven by costs. If they really want to save money that badly they might as well move the majority of their dev. to China, India, Mexico, Argentina or other lower cost countries. The Witcher 2 was done very well with much less costs. But I guess the labor costs in Poland are probably a lot lower...

If they want to keep dev in the US, I'd rather pay more to get a better quality product. But that's just me....

If talking on consoles: then Quest 64 for the N64 has been the worst game purhase I've ever made.

If only on PC: Indigo prophecy (it started fine, but after a while I was so bored that I just finished to find the unbelievable ending and final confrontation).

Yep, the game is visually astounding, but the lack of content (repetitive fighting, repetitive bosses) restrains it to become a 'great game' at all.

KOTOR 1 - you can only kill 1 jedi in the whole game and you spend half of the game in a mindless grindfest killing mobs. And that watery planet is a total waste of time where you run around the place and there's only 4 quests or so.

KOTOR 2 - you can kill all the jedi! and a bunch of others. There are only 2 downsides:
    1. The last planet is a mindless grind.
    2. After you've played through half of the game solo on hard, your character becomes inaccessible sometimes and you have to play as stupid companions and load a lot when they die.

There are more than two downsides to the second one. The most glaring one being that it wasn't finished. And I don't care to go around killing Jedi.

Out of all of the games my xfire profile has logged , I think the only ones I absolutely hated were World of Warcraft, and Dungeons and dragons online, both of these games I played for about 7 hours with people who pretty much begged me to play them. Ok it may be a bit biased since I've NEVER played an MMORPG I've ever liked, but seriously D&D online was just the same depressing scenery, and more depressing dungeons over and over again for pretty much the whole time I played it. With World of Warcraft, I found myself spending 90% of the time watching TV while my character auto walked a trillion miles to the next location. It was horridly boring. 10 minutes of right clicking, 20 minutes of auto walking, rinse, repeat.

WoW at low levels was terribly boring. To Blizzard's credit, they vastly improved the low level experience with the latest expansion.

FXIV hands down for me. Really tried to like it since I played ffxi, but after I think a week and a half I called it quits. No idea what its like now though, seeing as how they extended the 30 day trial to something like a couple of months shows it had serius issues.

    Final Fantasy X-2.

Why would you follow up Final Fantasy X (my favorite Final Fantasy) with this piece of garbage.

The new tone and style completely derailed from the predecessor and that made you question the direction the series was going in.

    Oh and Superman 64 lol.

I know people will get mad, but I say League of Legends. Probably the most boring game I ever played. I even played with friends and it's still boring. Can't say I didn't try, made it to about level 13, even tried a dozen characters and it's still boring for me to play.

League of Legends isn't my type of game either, I die all the time and I feel bad for hurting my team. So, you know, out of guilt I can't have fun :p There should be a "I really suck at this game" category, for other people like me who just want to have fun and die. Same with Starcraft... People take it much too serious.

Are you kidding? I swear KOTOR1 was the best under $10 buck purchase I made on Steam, I just wish they would bring KOTOR2 onto Steam. You don't kill Jedi you kill Sith. I was sick of getting mobbed by at least 10 guys with red lightsabers every time. Bioware never dissatisfies me.

IMHO CoD 5 WaW was the last great CoD. It had a sense of darkness that no other CoD game had and it had gore and blood :D! Black Ops is junk.

I have to agree there! CoD WaW is still my favorite CoD game. It was set in my personal favorite war setting, the weapons were great and it had the best spawn in ANY CoD game!
