Exactly. I've run both notebook and desktop "versions" of the drivers on my Deimos (unlocked Prema firmware). The practical differences are what hardware controls and limits are exposed to the OS and overclocking tools.

The version for notebooks or desktops?

Did I miss the post or two where the findings and fixes for 368.22 were actually discussed?

I meant is it worth moving to? Is there any notable performance increase? It's not like I've never volunteered to be the guinea pig before, I jumped on the 364.47 and that one had a lot of issues.. -
Read the posts, if you don't find the answer you are looking for, then test it yourself.
It's no big deal, use DDU to uninstall in Safe Mode, and then reboot and install the new driver.
Then you will know
-
Try 362.00/365.19 or 368.22 and choose the driver who give you best performance. Use DDU between each driver you try.Spartan@HIDevolution and hmscott like this.

I am on 365.19 now as 368.22 has some Gsync stuttering issues -
i'm trying 368.25.
-
OK, reverted back to 365.19 cos 368.25 it really screws up the performance in Quantum Break.
Managed to get it to run at 60fps i set to medium with upscaling on and the res to 900p but the fps will drop when it gets to an in game cutscene so i am gonna stick with just 1080p30.Last edited: Jun 2, 2016 -
Forget GSYNC,
TRY FASTSYNC.
Prema, LoneSyndal, jaug1337 and 2 others like this. -
how is it compared to vsync with triple buffering? I've read that its still in early stages and most game will stutter with this.
How that your 4710HQ achieve 4.5GHz? -
I played BF4. it is very smooth and no stutter (also enable vsync on game)

An update on my experience with 368.22. I've noticed a strange phenomenon since I stalled the driver. Every time I close my laptop, and it goes into sleep mode, I reopen it only to be faced with a black screen. The laptop is on, as it makes appropriate noises and I can say unpause a YouTube video, but nothing I do will turn the screen back on. The only solution is to power off the machine, remove the battery and reboot. I haven't had a chance to reinstall an older driver to be sure that 368.22 is the culprit, but I will get back to you guys when I do.

Do you have Optimus? I can't see profiles in tapatalk. If so, try updating your Intel gfx drivers.

That I do sir, but only without the ultrabay GPU inserted. However, my laptop (a Lenovo y410p) disables the iGPU and therefore Optimus when both GPUs are installed. With that out of the way, I actually did update the Intel Drivers, to no effect. No only that but this issue arose whether the iGPU was enabled or disabled. So I decided to roll back to driver version 361.43. Guess what? Everything works perfectly again. Closing the lid puts the machine into sleep mode and opening it wakes it up, screen and all.
Good job Nvidia, your newest driver messed up my laptop's close lid to sleep function
-
See if 365.19 works for you. I think it's a pretty nice driver.
-
Surprisingly it does. At first I thought my sleep function was broken again, but it just changes the behavior of the sleep. Strange, but it works. Thanks for the suggestion mate.D2 Ultima likes this.
