9800M GTS is far better (256-bit) vs. GT 130M (128-bit), which is slightly worse than a 9700M GT (especially with DDR2 memory)! No contest.

GT130M can't even fully utilise that 1GB, sounds like marketing to me...

yeah they are coming out with some crappy card with 1 gig, but honestly I guess its just cause memory is cheap these days.

Yeah well my friend bought an HP with the 130M w/ 1 gig and his computer is getting higher FPS than mine during game in Counter Strike Source.... hes getting a stable 200, while I endure around 100-180 stable. Whats the deal?

I found out that the 130m has a higher Memory clocking, I believe this has much to do with it. Also I believe his screen on the laptop is helping his fps as well am I right?

CSS is more cpu dependent, if his is better than he will get more FPS, or maybe he is playing at lower settings, either way thats not a good game to compare systems by, its really old and doesnt test nearly any modern hardware.

The culprit is going to be screen resolution, and graphic settings. I promise you a 130M isnt going to beat a 9800 on equal ground. A higher memory clock will benefit the Vertical tear because it will swap buffers faster. But your core is where all the real power comes from.
