    Agreed but it at least is startingto come more into line with say the cost of DDR2 800 8GB. I can remember not all too long ago it was a $900 plus option so this is a good thing.......... :)

    The corsair modules are still up around $800. It just sucks. lol

    Yeah, they are WAY out there. I think the main problem is there isn't enough extra juice provided by the upgrade. Since most people, including myself, won't get much extra benefit we aren't spending the money to ramp production and bring the cost down.

    The problem is unless you are in a specific situation you will see no real world benefits, maybe when SSD's come down in cost and people want to shut the page file off then 8GB ram will become popular. Even DDR2 800 is around $330 to get dual channel 4GB sticks and they have been around a bit longer than the DDR3 upgrades.
