Hey,
So I went out and picked one up yesterday, brough it home and it wouldnt turn on. I have it plugged in, light is on both to indicate that the battery is charging and on the power supply. It says I need to let it charge for 3 hours so I left it over night and still it wont turn on. Yes I am pushing the right and button. It makes no sense to me, all I can figure is that it is a lemon. Just wondering though if I am an idiot and there is something I was supposed to do with a new laptop before I can use it. Thanks.

Return it for a new one. You don't want a notebook that has problems from day zero.
You aren't the idiot. The idiot is the person that let that notebook pass Gateway's quality assurance in the factory.
Oh, and don't let BB hassle you and force you into a 15% fee or let them troubleshoot it. You are the customer, and you paid for a working notebook out of the box...and this isn't a working notebook out of the box. -
Don't let your initial experience discourage you from not getting a replacement. This got to be one of the fastest gaming machine - not proccessor wise - out there for its price. Benchmarks shows that its on par with SLI GO 7950GTX.
Real gaming tests shows that its fast! But ofcourse when I compare with my desktop 8800 GT, its alot slower
Anyway, I am loving my FX and haven't touched my desktop computer yet -
Just get a new replacement, or refund, simple.
