I have received it. I got it last night. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to play with it as much as I would like, yet. However, I love it. :)

The only quirk I've come across, though, is that the touchpad seems to "pause" while typing and stays that way until about half a second after I'm done typing. This affects gaming, unfortunately. I have a feeling that a USB mouse will work. I'll be testing my Logitech G5 on it in a little bit.

Meaning that it's 1920x1200? Or do you mean the original specs of 1440x900?

    AH HA!!!

Nevermind on that thing about the touchpad not working while typing. The PalmCheck option was doing it. I brought that option down one notch from the default setting and the touchpad works fine, now. :D

    Woo hoo!!! LG CT10N installed!

It reads data disks. Unfortunately, though, my copy of Star Trek on BluRay will not arrive until tomorrow, so I can't test the actual BluRay functions of the drive.

GilmourD, Very Happy to Know that you have received your New Gateway P7915u Last Night!!

Concerning the Display, Do You Mean that it's 1920x1200 or 1440x900 like the original specs?

It is True that The Above Display Don´t have very good Angle of View, So it would have to be Viewed from the Center (not from the Sides)...What You Have Found About The Viewing-Angle and Color Quality?

Do you have Checked if your new gateway P7915u comes with the Two Blowers (One for CPU and One for GPU).?

    -----------------------

I have been Searching for a Laptop Bag for My New P7915u wich apparently have the following size: 15.75" x 11.75" x 1.7". Don´t know if it is to much to Ask, but Could you Please Check/Verify If this is the Real Size of the P7915u.?

    I Found the Following:

Victorinox Ground Force Field Master 17

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t..._shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A1MPSLFC7L5AFK&v=glance

    http://www.ebags.com/victorinox_swi...tail/index.cfm?modelid=111324&lastterm=111324

I Already Received a Reply from eBags Letting Me Know that the size of the laptop Compartment for this item is 16" x 12" x 1.5", and that Gateway P-7915u FX Edition 17-Inch Laptop should fit in at no problem.

The Problem is that the P-7915u Size is Almost The Same as the Victorinox laptop Compartment... What Do You Think?

Could You or Anyone here Recommends me a Good Quality 17¨ or 18¨Laptop Case or Bag (from US$60.00 to US$125.00) That Really Could Fit the Gateway P7915u?

    Thanks For All Your Help!!

The display is the original spec at 1440x900.
The angle of view isn't any worse than any of the other LCD monitors or laptops I have in the house, so I have no complaints. This is compared to an HP DV6000z, a Samsung 225BW, and a Samsung 940B.
It definitely has two blower fans.
I've been looking for a good lapdesk so I did verify the dimensions to be true.
I haven't bought a bag for it myself, so I can't recommend anything, yet.

Thanks GilmourD for all your answers!

    Could you Please Check/Verify If Your P7915u Size is: 15.75" x 11.75" x 1.7".?

Since we all only had seen the P7915u Pictures in the Official Gateway Site, Could you Please Post Some Pictures of your new Laptop?

I really like the ogio bag I have.
It's the bag I have for my 7805u. I love it. It is a lot sturdier than the other stuff you find and you should have a best buy local to you where you can pick one up.

Be advised if you drop your computer in this thing I am not saying it will save it. It's a soft very durable bag and you still need to be careful with your laptop. No bag is perfect. This one was by far the best for mine at the time.
