    Welcome to the forums, Pmoney.

    On a side note, I've delete the P-17X category since it is essentially the same as the 68XX series, not to mention not a lot of people own one. Keep the benchmarks coming! Keep pushing your systems!

    Here's the thing, I've been trying to overclock my HD2600 for some time now and have not been sucessful. I don't know what to use, Rivatuner doesn't like it, Ati Tray tools never opens, AMD GPU Tool v9.8 doesn't open (it tells me to "run as adminstrator") but it's not an options when I right click. There's no overdrive with on the CCC. I don't know. Maybe someone could help me out here. I want to get to about 4200 marks, that's what my previous 8600m GT did and it was definately playable.

    As far as the 6860 goes, It does the job for me with the games I play so I never even thought about overclocking it. Also, I'm about to sell it and get a 7805u or 7811.

    1280x1024 = 10211

    1280x800 = 10799

    1920x1200 = 8183

    1440x900 = 10297 (just found custom resolutions works)

    I mainly wanted to display the people with 1440x900 displays run 3dmark06 at 1280x800 and their default scores will be quite a bit higher than those with 1900x1200 displays running the default at 1280x1024

    Also those that run highest screen resolution get better scores with 1440x900's than with the 1900x1200...............

    Here lol I have beaten the sxps1640, with just a 120mhz overclock :p

    [IMG]

    New record for MC78 series ;)

    Note that the temps were VERY high because I ran orthos fisrt for 4 hours before just to test my cpu :). The GPU never went up from 76C during the 3dmark benchmark. Im really happy to have these temps because they seem low. Damn I guess I have to update my catalist drivers I still have 8.5... Ill get the 9.4 soon.

    Dammit, Kamin. I was hoping to scrounge another few hundred points and pass you up this week! Later today (when I have the time), I'm going to put up separate stock machine benchmarks due to popular demand. On a side note, I have an awesome new avatar, SPOOGEEEETAH.

    Well competition does breed greatness. So you are welcome to try and take my spot. It looks like i have the most powerful FX series right now :p

    Someone has got to be able to beat my score. A 78XX series with a t9900 or 7808. Something.

    Come on people. I'm winning with last gen tech ;)

    But if you want to work on your scores idiotpilot we can probably get you up there if we can figure out whats bottle necking you at 9999

    ...well, I only had the nerves to push the GPU bus speeds up to:

    GPU core (3D): 550 MHz
    GPU memory: 873 MHZ

    Both staying in green with NVMonitor running as a reference check.

    So, I was able to push the 3DMark06 SCORE to: 8742. I was unwilling to push the GPU any further...yes I know, "chicken". :) Don't want to fry my business machine.

    Well, it was fun though playing with settings though.

    heres my score with my m-6862. not an fx, but it has the exact same specs as the m-6864fx (and same frame, just different colors :p) minus the hard drive, which on the 6864 is faster.

    i gave my gpu a large overclock with a 615 core and a 756 memory speed, from 500/600...temps only increased 2 degrees too lol. sad. but the score went up over a thousand points. oh, btw, anyone mind telling me if these speeds are dangerous and what things can possibly happen to my gpu with it?

    I think the T9300 is the best upgrade I've done for this laptop. It runs so much cooler (around 0c on idle). Computer is definately more responsive. As far as gaming I haven't notice much of an improvement. One other thing I've notice is that blu-ray playback doesn't freeze up anymore. On the t5550, if I watch a blu-ray at some point the cpu will be a 100% and playback will freeze so I would have to pause. Now the cpu stays around 70-75%. All in all, I would definately say the cpu upgrade was worth it. And I got it for only $145.00

    In 3DMark06 i have usually used 750/1020/1920 on my 9800M GTS 512mb card. Once core was 760 mhz.But not every driver has gave me stabilty on those clocks. Usually core is between 730-760 mhz. Memory @1000-1030 and shader 1000-1040 mhz.

    Yeah the 8800 is an odd card, its very powerful but some people can get WAY better clock out of them than others.

    My fastest benchmark run i was using (if memory serves)
    683/875/1704 Seeing some of your clocks i might try to get that 875 to the 970+ range see what that wil do for me :D

    Feelin' adventurous, so I bumped shader clock to 1550, and got 9555 at 1280x1024 res! I thought that I could never break the 9000 mark. Using WHQL 185.85's, and just installed Vista64 SP2, too.

    Bah, now I see that all the others are doing it at 1280x800. It is known that 1280x1024 is the REAL "default", so it would be easier to see how we're doing "in the grand scheme of things", rather than just specific to our laptops... anyways here's my score at 1280x800:
    [IMG]

    Well seeing as we (the vast majority of FX owners) have 1440x900 we cant exactly run at x1024 with out going external. And i only use my laptop, so no external monitor for me. :)

    I get about 60+ degrees at the max, idles at about 42 degrees.
    I can push the clocks further to about 675/1020/1800, but the thing is that it does not really have any difference since the T9300 becomes the bottleneck, so why do it?
    Also, vista hinders the performance. Would be getting 1000+ better score if using win7 RC.

    Scored 10265 with 935/945/1650, I realised that any clocks higher than 935/945/1650 will actually cause a degradation in performance.
