The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Dunno if anyone is listening on this thread since it's so old but my Dell XPS M1330 just exhibited the nVidia graphics problem and was planning to do the copper mod on the GPU chip. Started doing a ton of research finding sources for the copper shim to replace the thermal pad when I came across this thread indicating IC Diamond 7 as a good replacement.

    I'm sold on this product thanks to the feedback from Capper5016. Luckily found a local store (NCIX) that sells this stuff from IC Diamond's dealer list. Planning to pick-up tomorrow and get it done by weekend if I'm in not to bad a shape after the New Year's celebration.
