There is no MXM. And the 2600XT speeds aren't safe unless you improve the cooling of the laptop. As it is it's thermal design is fairly weak and can't get the heat out of the video card fast enough. Even at normal speeds it get up to 86C when playing things like Stalker Clear Sky or Crysis.

here they are, new voltages in windows 7:

    after 3dmark06 and orthos:

    after orthos stress test:

im not sure if they are higher just because its windows 7 or if its because the voltages are actually displaying correctly or if its because i havent cleaned out my vents in 8 months (im guessing the latter)

either way, they are higher. but not unbearable.

lol. Cool. Cool. Talk about a late reply eh? I think I got the undervolting handled now. I have a question about the Video Card Driver. Are you using the same one thats on the Gateway Support Website or another one? I tried to update the driver with Mobility Modder, but its not exactly working....

Ok. It works now. New problem: Someone wanna explain why only 3 GB is usable. I read about Windows 7 using 1 GB to handle video tasks. Does everyone else see this too?

I was wondering if the Video Card itself could be replaced? I would love to put in a 260M, after that upgrade it would be able to compete with MANY other gaming laptops, i LOVE my m6862 but the card seems sub par now days
