As the title says, thermal pad ripped pretty good. Couldnt avoid it. What can I use to shim it to put AS5 in?

Try to use ICD7, great thermal paste and its thick too, so it will fill the gap nicely!

Or make a copper shim for AS5

ICD7 would probably be easier and it gave me lower temps than AS5 on the cpu.

ok, ordered some. I have some pretty thick silicate based thermal compound on there right now (general nonconductive heat transfer paste). Heat doesnt seem to be an issue and Im not doing any intense processing so it should be fine till it gets here. Thanks guys.

Artic Ceramique would probably fine for this laptop right? Is there a huge gap between the heatsink and chip?
