ok so iv had this gateway mx6027 laptop for about 2 years now and fairly recently i noticed the battery life was way shorter and when i plugged it into the wall it kept giving me critical battery messages so i figured i needed a new one. the day it came i took out my old battery and replaced it with the new one and i charged it for a couple hours. when i came come later and turned my computer on i noticed it only had 8% battery life and it was decreasing by the minute even when it was plugged into the wall. is my new battery messed up or is the computer? on i side note, ever since the old battery was showing critical battery messages when plugged into the wall the little picture that usually showed an outlet and plug kept flickering from the outlet to a battery with an X on it. did this have anything to do with my battery not working? if someone could please respond quickly it would help me a lot. thanks.
