    xps1330 copper mod would work on a fx ?

    Uhm.. no luck there man.. I tried Oc'ing the GPU and it still goes straight to 98c with no RMClock.. But, I did run 3dmark and take a new screen shot after the system slowed itself down..Just for more accurate comparisons to the previous shot..before the mod. Added to previous post.

    I think TZS0 is a lost cause :)

    narsnail, what BIOS are you running with the 6860FX? Is Dook running the same BIOS? Maybe, just an idea..that is part of the problem. I havent tried since the copper mod..but BIOS 9c.08.00 made my tzs0 flip out even IF I wasn't OC'ing the GPU. Guess I should give it another go around. But, just trying to offer some insight. BTW, you get those pads?

    was hoping that mod was gonna work..... but im sure it is working better than expected, but with this possible bios issue...it's really hard to tell. now if we had your previous model...

    mhmm.. maybe I should just go buy another? :p this one has 9c.06.00 on it, and it's the P2887 series.. 9c,06 was before the updated kernel. Anyhow, lemme flash .08 and see if it changes anything.

    EDIT: Anyhow, 3 gateways would be too much.. I'm gonna stick with these 2 for now. :p Here's the 9c.08.00 RUN on the exact same computer..just flashed to new BIOS. By the way, 3dmark is the one that manages to always trip tzs0 if it is going to trip at all. Thanks 9c.08 BIOS.. you annoy me. :)

    you know i broke 15k today right E? and dammn near broke 13k on the single card.

    and found some interesting reading about the top performance of the 3870's seems that they are maxing out at 15,100.

    side note... i think im just going to run 9800m gtx and call it a day. rj said i can send my laptop back o upgrade. they said they dont have the ati cards for the np9262, but if they come out for it...they said they are going to get them. (big if. lol)

    X9000/4GB/8800GTX SLI/400gb 7200RPM RAID 0/1920x1200 and its costing me, ready for this? ....$1975. :D

    The guy just bought it like 3months ago, got in a fight with his wife and is now in the middle of a wonderful divorce proceeding. He needed cash so bad, he almost gave it to me. :D I feel bad for the guy tho. I mean Im happy Im getting it so cheap, but I hate the fact that its at someone else's loss.

    Ya should be, heck.. I looked at those for quite a while, but didnt wanna shell out the $3500 for the setup I wanted. Hind sight.. Maybe I shoulda ran into someone going thru a rough time so I could steal it from them ;)

    Dunno with yours.. my 7811 was about .6mm if I were to guess.. but I went ahead and just sanded the shim down to fit. I eyeballed it really. Guess I got lucky. But, I had to sand my fingertips off and just kept going til I thought it looked good :)

    Can't I just buy a copper sheet from home depot and sand it? Would it make a difference?

    Both are oxygen free?
