I didn't think that. I wanted a small charger to have with me for simple work or just to charge the battery.

I've done some testing, and the results are.. dissapointing..

When you connect the 100W charger, the laptop doesn't go full power, it goes to an even more limited state than just running of battery.

Power limits on GPU (playing FH5)
    Normal charger: 105W (60 FPS 4k)
    On battery: 55W (25/30 FPS)
    On 100W gan: 20W (6FPS)

The CPU is probably also getting bottlenecked in that mode.

This result is really dissapointing, i understand that it can't charge it, but i would expect to have at least battery performance on a 100W charger, even if the battery charges slower or gets discharged slowly.

Has anyone tried rearranging WIFI antennas on the 15 XD OLED? It's beyond bad on the AC network. Works 'fine' on AX. There is something seriously wrong with the arrangement because I get twice as fast upload as download (tried multiple networks so it's a laptop issue).

    Hi all,

Glad to be part of this community as a new Aero 15 OLED KC (3060) owner. I've had my share of issue with this laptop including WiFi issues (well known here), but I have that working okay now after tweaking some settings. The biggest problem is the fan noise. I have found various solutions, but none of them seem to work. Probably because my laptop is running Windows 11. Does anyone know of a working Windows 11 solution? If I can't find one, I might have to return the laptop.

    Good day,

In a dilema need clarification. I have Gigabyte Aero 15 intel 8th gen model, GTX 10 series. I am not sure if the Thunderbolt 3 port supports Display port 1.4 or only 1.2?

I bought a supposedly display port 1.4 to USB-C cable and plugged it into Xiaomi 34" 3440x1440 144hz monitor. But only getting 120hz.

I am not sure if the cable i bought that has issues or is the Thunderbolt 3 port or something else.

    Thank you.

    I just purchased a 15 OLED KD (i7-11th gen and 3060).

While I wait for delivery, I was looking into mods to do when it arrives. It seems it benefits a huge amount from undervolt, but that isn't possible without an unlocked bios? I'm coming from an Alienware 13 R3 that I didn't update to the undervolt lockout, so this is new to me.

Anyway, I've found through this thread a superior 3060 vbios.

And then in this thread I've been trying to figure out how to install a modified bios.

It seems this thread has instructions on how to unlock bios flashing. This looks rather odd and I'm not sure if it applies to the Aero itself.

Anyone have any guidance or tips on this? I'm definitely going to want to do the vbios and bios mods as it is a rather significant performance boost seeing as to how a 90w 3060 vs a 115w-130w 3060 bench pretty far apart in actual games (not just synthetic benches).

I have Aero 15 OLED XD and I cannot make my laptop wake up from sleep by mouse or keyboard, only possible solutions are open lid or push power button(and Wifi WOL is working though), is this normal?
Sometimes, I just want to connect this laptop to bigger monitor, and want to use without open laptop lid.
anyone know how to solve this problem?
