Which do you think will be seen at retail?

The Phenom II N 620 and the Turion II P 520 seem the best options to me.

May 2010, right in time to battle Intel's Arrandale. Sucks that for both AMD and Intel USB 3.0 is not coming until Sandy Bridge for Intel and Llano for AMD.

Does anyone know how the Athlon II N330 2.3 GHz performs? What's the intel's equivalent? I've found the new dv6 series laptop with this processor at a good price (at least for my country), but I am mostly worried about its 1 mb cache. Ty.

Just should have posted here, instead of grabbing a old thread.

But i have yet to find any benchies of that cpu, but it should not be all that bad after all it does ship with a ATI Mobility HD 4200 IGP if im not mistaken.
Should perform much better than a Intel Celeron with Intel GMA 4500m.

Gaming wise, both AMD (these newer cpu's) and Intel i series will likely be more than enough.
When you couple them with decent mid-range or high performance gpu's, it's a non-issue really.

The only aspect where you will notice the difference between AMD and Intel would be in heavily multi threaded applications like Photoshop and 3d Studio Max (both of which I use), so I personally have to watch out for something that provides good performance in that field first and foremost, and gaming comes second (for that aspect, a decent mid-range solution like the Ati mobility radeon 5650 would be enough in my case).

i wanted to wait for the new Llano, but after seeing that it isnt a big upgrade ( still 4 cores, lv2 Cache, same DDR3 ) *except for i dont know how will the APU works*

i went for HP Pavilion equipped with Phenom N930

but AMD is finally getting there

it's interesting to see the market next year with AMD powered laptops

i am getting bored of Intel :D

definitely going to get Llano powered Laptops in the next 4 years
