Figured I would ask here instead of creating a new thread.

Do you guys have a recommend shop for purchasing a 3rd party Copper IHS? Im used to not having to worry about it since rPGA didnt have IHS to begin with.

Probably this weekend will begin working on the GPU side of the laptop. I have also found a compatible (in theory) panel that should work with the P750zm. 1080p120hz at 94% NTSC

I will be ordering the 5775c today or tomorrow, there are a couple on ebay for 220 USD or so, cheaper than the 4790k lol

    Current plans:

    i7 5775c @ 4.0Ghz
    32GB 2133MhzCL11
    GTX 1070 @ 170w
    256GB 850 Pro (OS)
    2TB SSHD
    1TB M.2 SSD
    N156HHE-GA1 (1080p120hz)
    330w AC Adapter

It loaded for me when I copied the link, then showed that after a refresh, might have hit a monthly data cap.
I know that some other Clevo owners have bought IHS's from him, I think it was @ole.

Did you end up getting your modded bios ?

Unlocking the bios options on these machines is easy either using amibcp or uefitool. And changing the microcode is simple with the UBU tool. Only issue is having a recovery method on hand (not including FN + B).

Apparently these machines can be had for a reasonable price on eBay still:

Bartx got back to me, couple of issues.

He never made an ihs for the 5775c, it was rare in comparison and due to its faulty marketing and shoddy reviews almost no one got it.

So he would need for me to delid one and get measurements as he doesn't know if both dies are the same size.

Second, he wouldn't know when he can ship as most airliners are grounded at his location right now.

Dies are nowhere near the same size, the package sizes are similar to what a 4980HQ is. I'm sure you could easily find die sizes online if you look

    Quite aware.

He wants verification that the dies are the same height. I'm sure they are but more importantly he can't really ship much right now.

I need to get the chip first and seeing as how I plan to delid anyways, just need to measure the height.

L4 die doesn't really affect heat too much from what I read around on another forum so either way not too concerned.
