Ok. If you have the drivers installed already, what then?

Yeah, not sure I understand either ...
You mean that instead of tweaking the registry, we can get the same result by using those alpha drivers?
Where can I get them?
Thank you
Also it looks like you're using a SATA III controller according to your sequential results ... so maybe it's just this that is helping to boost your random reads / writes ? Anyway, I'm willing to try these drivers ... -

Yeah, + there's no download link on the page?
And finally I had to undo this tweak as it was limiting the Turbo boost to 1.86Ghz instead of 2.73Ghz on my I7 740QM ...
Applied JJB instead, I get similar results, but only when the CPU is under load ... that's good enough for me, anyway I don't think there's another solution right now, I like to keep the Turbo Boost -
nothing to explain, what dont you get?
if drivers are installed this intelppm tweak is useless.
or am i just the lucky one? -

That is basically the first question that I had with you and you answered that you did not say anything like that. Now you're saying that with the alpha drivers installed, these tweaks are useless. Waaaaahhhh -
Just play 15 minue with settings and then look at TB Monitor to monitor TB -
You're talking about JJB's tweak right? I have no problem with this tweak and the Turbo Boost, it's just the Intelppm registry tweak that limited my Turbo Boost!
Anyway, finally gave a try at those Alpha drivers, and combined with JJB tweak, it works pretty well ... under light CPU load I now get 26M read and 54M write!
Hopefully I won't get any BSOD ... we'll see -
Yes, I was.
BTW Where is a link on that Alpha drivers? Can you give me direct link i they work for PM55 chipset. Thank you. -
My INTEL 520 240GB performance was improved by 60%!
I've no got average 218 MB/sec (min: 198, max: 225) as measured by HD Tune; previously this was average 136 MB/sec (min: 96, max:178).
Thanks all.
